history:There isn’t much remember from the days before the pain, the burning, the darkness and then finally the rebirth. Of course there were the ones responsible for bringing Kate into the world biologically, Aleksandr and Isabella Fedorov. The Fedorov estate was a vast one, several acres of rolling hills rising and falling like immobile waves of green velvet as far as the eye could see; Kate herself had never been to the edge of their lands, there was never a need to venture that far from the castle walls. Everything the Fedorov children could have ever needed was only a command to the servant away; all the Fedorov daughters had to do was pout and cry, which would send the servants running for fear of ending up on the receiving end of Aleksandr’s wrath. Aleksandr was the descendant of Czech royalty, who at the time had been occupying Solvakia, and his relations had earned him a cushiony place of power at the top of Solvakia’s government. Aleksandr had been pampered all his life and the young royal was positive that he wanted the same for his family and he made sure that his children wanted for nothing and received the best of everything. Isabella was a Slovakian national equally pampered and living the ‘proper’ lifestyle fitted for a woman during that time. They came together as part of an ageless attempt to bridge the wall between the Czech intruders and the Solvakian natives, hopefully leading to peace between the opposing sides.
The Fedorov family wasn’t exactly a happy one, Isabella felt not love or affection for the man she was forced to marry and Aleksandr was so concerned about keeping up appearances that the man became consumed by the superficial. Isabella had never been the emotional type, but she was very much the proper wife and mother and she kept her contempt to a minimum whenever in another’s presence. Less than a year into their shame of a marriage, Aleksandr and Isabella were blessed with the news that they would soon be a family a three rather than two; this was great news for the Czech leaders who saw this as a wonderful opportunity to prove to the warring sides that peace was possible and that all could live in harmony. Aleksandr was thrilled with the news that his Solvakian wife was finally carrying the first addition to the newest generation of Fedorovs; Isabella merely acted as if she was doing her duty as a wife and mother, but seemed to have no other affection for the youngster growing in her belly. Nine months of fairly easy pregnancy gave way to a cool, summer night filled with the exhausted groans of a new mother, followed by the piercing cry of the tiny infant boy; everything Aleksandr had been praying night for.
As was the tradition of the time, boys were the favored over the female gender and every family wanted their first born child to be male. Aleksandr and Isabella were given the gift of a healthy baby boy in the form of Herc Fedorov a tiny little blonde haired green eyed infant that would soon become the little prince of the Fedorov estate. Herc couldn’t have been born during a better time, the middle of a fairly mild summer and thankfully avoiding the harsh winter that could so easily take the life of the little infant as it did so many other children that blistering winter season. Herc was the apple of his father’s eye, quickly earning his place at the head of the family and slowly being groomed to take the Fedorov name to new heights. He was a loving little child, just as much a mama’s boy as he was a brownnose for his father; Isabella may have simply been doing her duty as a wife and mother, but the little blonde baby boy had seemed to earn the love and attention of his normally indifferent mother. As soon as little Herc was old enough Aleksandr enlisted the help of the best tutors and educators his money and power could afford to give his son the education fit for the only son of such a powerful family.
A year later Isabella was once again found herself pregnant with another addition to the Fedorov clan and this time the famed boy would not be arriving nine months later. This pregnancy was more difficult than little Herc had been, Aleksandr brought in the best doctors to ensure the safety of his unborn child and his wife; they left Isabella bed ridden for the last two months of the pregnancy forbidding her from lifting a finger and leaving little Herc watching on helplessly. Nine trying months later, the first daughter of the Fedorov family was born in the form of a strawberry blonde whom they dubbed Tanya. Little Tanya was a beautiful young child and it was speculated that she would be the eye of all the young men in Slovakia when it came time for her to marry; older brother, Herc wasn’t so fond of the newest addition to the family. Herc had gotten it into his little blonde head that Tanya was the reason that Isabella became ill and suddenly he became incredibly distrustful of the tiny baby. Aleksandr had taken to little Tanya right away and soon she had the man wrapped around her little finger, having to do nothing more than pout to get the things she wanted; it seemed that way for every male she came into contact with, they all wanted to please the little girl no matter what she wanted.
All too soon for Herc’s liking, it became evident that a third child was on the way for the Fedorov family. Isabella’s beauty and life was slipping away from her with yet another child on the way and Herc’s resentment grew with each passing month, but Tanya was thrilled with the idea of a younger sibling that she would be able to look after. After nine months the second daughter of the Fedorov family in the form of a bright blonde, brown eyed baby girl born on a chilly winter evening deep in the middle of December. With two older siblings, Katrina Denali was far from the favored child; Herc would always been Aleksandr’s favorite simply based on the fact that it would be the son that would continue the Fedorov family name, but it was Tanya who had earned that special place in her father’s heart. Isabella extremely weakened by the birth of little Katrina felt no affection for any of her children, other than Herc whom she got closer to every passing day. Katrina was easily overlooked, typically left in the care of the current nanny whenever Isabella wished to have a break from the crying little baby. Katrina was an easy going baby, learning quickly how to get everything she could ever want, crying only went so far, and pouting and outwitting got the little blonde much farther.
Much to Herc’s and Isabella’s dismay the mother of the Fedorov family became pregnant one final time a year and a half after Katrina was born. Yet another girl was given to the Fedorov’s and baby Irina came into the world nine months later; Herc was furious, Aleksandr ecstatic, Isabella indifferent, while Tanya and Katrina already plotted the games they would play and the traps they would set with their new little sister. From the start Tanya, Katrina, and Irina were inseparable and Aleksandr gave his little girls everything they could possibly wish for; they received the best education in the ways of women, flirting, dancing, caring for the household everything they could possibly need to survive in the world. Of course, Herc showed little kindness to the blonde haired trio, blaming them for the illness that stole Isabella’s youth and beauty; he spent most of his time avoiding the three young girls, despite their attempts to spend time with the oldest Fedorov sibling. He wanted none of it and spent most of his time absorbed in his studies or at his mother’s side as she slowly slipped away. Tanya, Katrina, and Irina became the poster children for the Fedorov’s, almost always at their father’s side whenever there was a ball to be held or a public event being held. It seemed everyone knew about the three beautiful Fedorov girls and Tanya, Katrina, and Irina used it to their advantage.
Katrina and her sisters loved men of all ages, shapes and sizes. There was no end to the flirting, the giggling, and the manipulation of the men of Slovakia; the Fedorov girls were known for their poise, grace, and flirtatious and it drove all the men wild. As the years passed, Aleksandr got older, weaker, while Isabella was never quite the same again; she retreated within herself choosing to speak only to her son and leave the rest of the world to its own devices. With no real mother to guide them, Aleksandr saw it fit to give the girls another role model to look up to and act as a babysitter for when they needed it most; the answer came in the form of their nanny, Sasha. The woman stayed with the sisters almost every waking moment, acting more as a mother to the girls than Isabella did throughout her years. Of course there was something off about the nanny, never wishing to go outside on the nicest of days and having to leave for extended periods of time for one thing or another, each time with a different excuse. Sasha loved children and treated Tanya, Katrina, and Irina as if they were her own daughters; no one questioned her devotion, the rumors had started that she was infertile and unable to bear children of her own.
Aleksandr died before Kate turned 13 leaving Herc as the man of the house and the head of the family. Herc moved up quickly, taking his place easily, just as Aleksandr had hoped and prepared him for, but there was one thing he had not counted on. The Fedorov heir did not hesitate to take over as head of the family, letting out all his locked away aggression toward his sisters. He already began making plans to marry off each of the girls as soon as they came of age to a suitable man that would provide the appropriate status for the daughter of Aleksandr Fedorov. Of course, Tanya, Kate, and Irina had no desire to marry so early in their lives, they enjoyed flirting far too much, but it did not matter to Herc, his sisters would be gone from his home for good if he had any choice in the matter. The idea didn’t bond well with Kate and her sisters, who stopped at nothing to undermine Herc’s authority, scaring away every suitor he, set up for the girls with reckless abandon. They wanted to be in control of the men they dated and would eventually marry. The battle of wits went on and on for several years until Herc finally grew tired of their antics and chose a willing candidate for Tanya, one who wouldn’t be run off by Tanya, Kate and Irina’s willfulness. The men were hard, rough, and ignorant; not exactly the type of men the girls were looking for, but the rules of the world still held true and Tanya, Kate and Irina and what big brother said goes. The wedding was to occur that summer and Tanya would be pulled from her sisters forever.
Sasha had no desire to see her girls be forced into loveless marriages, having her own problems with the very thought herself and the nanny took it upon herself to save them from the wrath of their brother. Two weeks before the wedding was to take place, Sasha crept into the room the girls willing shared in the east wing of the Fedorov estate at 15 minutes past midnight, spying the girls sleeping soundly in their beds. Padding silently, Sasha woke each gently, whispering quick words of instruction before moving to their closet to pack a small suitcase of clothing for each of them. Kate and her sister rose quickly, dressing in a confused silence as Sasha ushered them quickly out the door; they had never seen their nanny like this, her movements so fluid, so easy, so inhuman, Sasha moved faster than anyone they had ever seen and in a matter of minutes the four were standing outside the walls of the Fedorov estate, rushing to the gate to leave their old lives behind. Kate never questioned the intentions of Sasha, for almost their entire lives she had been nothing but a second mother to the girls wanting the best of everything and now she was saving Tanya from a marriage to a horrible man.
Kate, Tanya, Irina and Sasha ran for what felt like weeks before settling on a place far enough away from Herc’s wrath of finding his sisters gone; he may have hated the three, but it reflected badly on the Fedorov heir to have lost control of his family so quickly. There were rumors all over Slovakia about what could have happened to the Kate, Tanya, and Irina, but after so much time the girls were forgotten about and everyone just let themselves believe that they had run away to lead a less than ‘pure’ lifestyle. It was during those weeks of isolation from the rest of the world that the girls saw a change in the woman they considered to be a mother; Sasha started getting more easily irritated, often lashing out at one of the girls if they complained about one thing or another, but their love never lessened. They never questioned her random trips off into the forest on the dreariest of days, or her aversion to leaving the house when the weather was nice, but their curiosity was starting to get the best of them. Every once and a while, Kate would follow Sasha on one of her little ventures, but only discovered that she was much to agile and fast to keep up with. It wasn’t until Kate’s 19th birthday that the girls learned the truth of Sasha’s secrets.
During those years, Kate and her sisters grew more and more interested in men, they loved flirting and dancing with those who drooled over their every move and curve. Kate thrived on their attention using it to her advantage on more than one occasion; many men would buy her extravagant gifts in an attempt to prove that they loved her more than the other fools that had been trying to woo her. Of course, staying true to the belief that they were in control, the sisters never married choosing to keep on with flirting and toying with the men they associated with. Sasha always bit her tongue, never reprimanding them nor pushing them into marriage, she had saved them from a loveless marriage and she wasn’t going to ruin it by going along with what was proper.
The middle daughter had fallen seriously ill for some time, getting weaker and thinner by the day, Tanya, Irina and Sasha knew full well that it wouldn’t be long until Kate left this world for good. Her skin nearly burned to the touch, making Tanya and Irina recoil in fear and worry at the slightest brush of Kate’s skin. It was then that Sasha revealed her secret and the only way that they could save Kate and remain a family forever. Sasha was a centuries old vampire who had taken such a shining to the girls that she wished to wait until they were old enough before revealing her life to them. After days of deliberation and watching Kate slowly fade away, Tanya, Irina and Kate joined Sasha in the world of the undead. After three days of inexplicable pain, darkness, and fear they awoke with a new strength, beauty and sense of self. The sickness had disappeared and Sasha explained everything about their new lives, they would have to take the lives of humans to keep themselves alive, they could tell no one else about what they truly were and they would never die, they would be together forever and that mean the world to the sisters. Kate was reborn with was is considered on odd repercussion of the illness, an electric current that can be generated on her skin, shocking at even the lightest touch should Kate chose to use it.
The vampiric life treated the girls well, Kate and her sisters toyed with the men in their lives often luring them home after a night of lustful flirting and shameless innuendos only to take their lives from them before dawn approached. Rumors of a succubus circulated wherever they went, stories about beautiful witches who stole innocent men in the dead of night became a part of their everyday life; each new place had a new story, be it ghosts, witches, fairies or some other mythical creature. They were always careful, but never fulfilled, they men they so loved to spend time with never made it through the nights of their merriment, countless names remember, jokes never told, they all ended up nothing more than a meal. Kate and her sisters were learning the control that came with time, and they were starting to hate what they had become. Rules set down by the ancient vampires were observed, but the line was continuously toed as they got more daring with the men they brought home and their guilt rising with each passing day. Soon they began discussing alternatives to human blood, but it seemed that they would be destined to kill the men they loved for eternity.
When the idea of living off animal blood came about it seemed to be a wondrous alternative to killing the men they spent so much time with. Kate and her sisters realized that they could have their cake and eat it too, in a manner of speaking; their problems seemed to be over. Trouble was only beginning when the royal vampire family came to their home, the Volturi, and they were not making a causal calling. Sasha was accused of creating an immortal child, one of the gravest transgressions a vampire could do in the eye of the Volturi; of course, Kate and her sisters defended their mother’s honor, only to discover the existence of another member of the family a little child named Vasilii, the immortal child they spoke of. A biased trial ensued in which Aro, Marcus, and Caius had to pass judgment on all of the members of the coven and determined that death would be the only punishment suitable enough. For the first time in their immortal lives, Kate and her sisters were truly scared for their family, clinging tightly to one another they waited for the stinging pain of fire and fangs that would certainly follow slowly. Sasha’s voice pierced the uncomfortable silence that preceded the fight, declaring the innocence of the sisters and begging for them to be spared; Aro must have been in a giving mood that day for Kate and her sisters were spared, but forced to watch as the Guard killed their mother and newly met brother. They watched on in terror, each silently making a vow to uphold the law of the vampires to spare themselves this pain; it had been a scaring experience for the sisters and they were never quite the same.
Of course the years passed slowly, Kate and her sisters gave up the nomadic lifestyle to settle down in Denali, Alaska where they could pass as human due to the lack of sun; they had adjusted to the vegetarian lifestyle fairly easily with only minor slip ups here and there. Carmen and Eleazar had been nomads when they arrived in Denali, spending some time learning of Kate and her sister’s lifestyle; they had been wary of the former Volturi vampire’s presence but it became clear that they liked the Denali lifestyle and became a part of their growing coven. During a course of their travels the Denali’s came across another vegetarian coven a vampire although they were much younger than their own; the Cullen’s had become similar to distant relatives as the sisters grew close to the humanitarian Carlisle and Tanya developed feelings for the son, Edward.
Today, Kate and her sisters are still living in Denali with Carmen and Eleazar entertaining visits from the Cullen family and dreading the day the Volturi may come knocking at their door once again.

rp sample:Kate smiled as she was back in her own temple of glory. She liked to call it that way. It wasn't like any other places she has been and felt home. Kate looked at Garrett as he mentioned love. She didn't know about love in this way, more about love in her own family kind of way. She sighed and looked at him. How would she tell him that love was not something she could feel without knowing the feeling ever before.
She looked at him walking his way sitting down next to him on the bed. She grabbed his arm with both her hands laying her head on his shoulder. I don't know, I never felt this way before, to be honest you are the first person i have a feeling about, in a different way then my family. Kate admitted and looked at him. Looking in his changing eyes she had the feeling she had to be there for him.
That she has to stay with him not caring what it would take. She kissed his cheek and even though she had the urge to kiss him she didn't , she didn't want to rush it, somehow she didn't know why she would rush anything. He was a person who probably talked about feelings much of his life, she doesn't even care if he would either, just she doesn't talk about them and everyone could notice that.
Kate looked at their hands, as the were intwined together , they just fit, they were made to be there together. If she was able to cry or let tears rolling down, she would. With every power she had she couldn't tell what she felt. The shocks that she released when she got scared by touching a person just faded. She wondered if she would ever be the same around him at all. A look at her flowers made her smile.
