~Isabella Swan~
eyes: brown, kind of slanted
hair: brown, long, usually straight
height: 39 in (just over 3 ft)
weight: 40 lbs
distinguishing features: tattoos, piercings, special accessory, etc.
general appearance:
Scarlett is a little on the short side for a human of six years and she's also on the light side due to lack of nutrition. She's got beautiful long brown hair that sometimes looks blond in the sunlight. She's got deep brown eyes that slant just a bit, especially when she smiles. Her skin is pale white, but she's got color to her. She has a slim build, but that's sort of normal for a kid her age. She's definitely a lot weaker physically than children her age, despite the fact that she loves to run around and play. She has a scar from an incident with her biological father on her abdomen, but it doesn't really bother her that much. She loves wearing pretty dresses, but she'll also wear jeans with cute little tops, or whatever her mommy or auntie puts on her.
"I will always tell you the truth."

ambitions: she wants to be a vampire (because she will be adopted by them)
abilities:
- reading – she's very good at it
- caring – she cares about people easily, sometimes too easily
- intuitive – she sort of knows what she needs to do, even if she doesn't always do it (will turn into a stronger ability when she is changed to a vampire)
secrets:
- she thinks Jasper is scary
- she's intuitive to an extreme degree
- she's afraid that being a vampire will hurt
personality:
Lettie is an active child who loves nothing more than a nice playground and a kid or two to interact with. She's a fun-loving girl who cares for people more than she probably should, especially at her age. She is very accepting of other people and that has led to the fact that she's an orphan. She likes everyone until she's given a reason not to, or her intuition tells her not to. Speaking of which, she's highly intuitive, and not just about people. She often knows what the right thing to do is, or what she is supposed to do, even if she doesn't always follow her intuition. She'll fight it sometimes just because she thinks that her feelings are silly. Like most kids, she'll tell you how it is and is completely unembarrassed about that, as long as you know her. When it comes to strangers, she goes back and forth from being shy and outgoing.
Being a human and (eventually) adopted into a vampire family, she wants to be just like them some day, and gets into trouble sometimes when she tells other human kids that she doesn't plan on dying. She is, however, also afraid of the idea of becoming a vampire. She knows her mom probably doesn't want her to be a vampire because she's over heard discussions about when her Aunt Bella was human, but that's not what scares her. She's more afraid of the pain and the risk of dying. She's afraid that being a vampire will hurt forever. She's also afraid of anything scary, and firmly believes that there is a monster hiding in her clost.
"Don't get your family slaughtered for pride."

history:
The night Scarlett was born was cold and covered in ice. She was born in a Seattle hospital to a mother who didn't even want to hold her when she was able to. Lettie was named after the horrible scarlet color of blood that stained the sheets on the hospital bed. She was taken home and lived a couple of years with a mother who didn't love her and a father who was always out drinking. Her father was the worst. He'd come home at night yelling at her mother and throwing things around. At a very early age (because that's the only kind her life has had so far) she learned to stay away from her parents, especially at night. But one night it wasn't enough. On an unusually warm night in March, Lettie's father came into her room yelling at her for something she didn't do. Scarlett somehow knew that she was in trouble, even though she also knew she'd done nothing wrong. She also knew she had to get out of there, and that was one time she wasn't going to ignore that intuition.
That night, at the age of five, Lettie tried to get out, to anywhere that wasn't here. Her plan was to go to the preschool down the block that she attended last year, but before she could get out, her father threw a broken glass bottle at her, which cut her deep across the abdomen. The only reason she didn't die that night was probably because their neighbor heard the commotion and came to Lettie's aid and took her to the hospital.
Unfortunately, because the neighbor hadn't seen what had happened and no one could prove that she hadn't just tripped over and fell on a piece of glass, Scarlett was returned to her home. By now her mother was in prison on drug charges that Lettie didn't know much about and her father was still drinking every night. So she made a new plan. While her father was away drinking one night, Lettie packed a few things and headed outside, sneaked on a bus, and made her way to Forks.
Her father reported her as “missing” but probably only because he didn't want to look like a bad person. Scarlett has tried to stay away from adults because she's afraid of being returned to Seattle. She's a lot happier without her family, though it's hard to get food and things without parents. She finds ways to be happy by playing with other kids and living on the edge of a forest around the playground. Lettie still has the stitches in her abdomen, and they are probably getting infected, but she is afraid to go to the hospital.
"You will never put me through that again."

How sick was it that part of her was glad that Chase was out of the picture – that didn't have to feel tied to the earth by something she hadn't chosen, and she didn't have to worry about telling him that she was leaving him. That was selfish of her. But she also felt incredibly guilty that she hadn't been completely honest with him. Sure, they hadn't been intimately involved, but she also knew that the imprint rules were supposed to be clear. She hadn't wanted Chase to die, she wasn't that heartless. But she couldn't help but feel a little relieved that all she had was Jacob now. It was one less obstacle, though the baby on the way sort of gave them another obstacle. A very different obstacle.
Leah felt way too comfortable being so close to her alpha. There was just something about sitting with Jake that made everything better. It was okay to be vulnerable around him; she still didn't like being this vulnerable, but out of anyone else, she felt like she could let Jake see this side of her – he wouldn't go around telling people about this, and he would comfort her the best he could. She knew that when he said he was there for her, he meant it. Jake wasn't the kind of person to just walk out. As he rocked her back and forth in his lap, Leah's lips found the skin of his neck and pressed against it softly. If she thought about it, it was really odd that when her imprint died she could have an intimate moment with Jacob, but she loved the wolf, now with all her heart, not just most of it. Her arms wrapped around him and she held on tight while he rocked her.
Until he reacted to the news about her being pregnant. Suddenly Jake wasn't holding her anymore. He wasn't comforting her like he had when she had told him that her imprint had died. She didn't expect Jacob to really be upset about Chase's death – after all, the two of them were trying really hard to make things work between them and an imprint gone was an imprint out of the way. But he'd been sorry, she was sure at least, that she was upset. Now it was different. With any other person, Jacob's reaction to hearing they were having a baby would have pissed Leah off to no end. But this was Jacob. This was the person she loved. Not someone she imprinted on and was forced to care about. This wasn't some stupid fate thing. And the funny thing was – seeing Jacob like that made something in her click.
“Shh. Jake, it's okay. We're going to be okay.” She fell to her knees right in front of him and put her hands on each side of his face. “I've known for a couple of weeks. I'm a month at the most along now. The only people who know so far are me, you, and the doctor who told me, someone here on the reservation so we don't need to worry about it getting out to Carlisle.” One of her hands ran through Jake's hair, trying, she hoped it wasn't a futile attempt, to calm and comfort him in any way she could. “Look, I'm not showing yet, so we can hide this for a little while until we figure out what to do. If we have to we can come up with some story about it not being yours, but... Jake, I really, really want to keep this baby.”
Leah made her eyes look into Jacob's; she hoped she wasn't the only one of them who wanted to keep the child. Until now, she'd been on the fence, going back and forth between having it aborted and keeping the baby. But when whatever it was clicked in her, she knew she wanted to keep what was growing inside her. “I know we're really young. And it's complicated. And if you don't want to...” she swallowed and made herself go on. “...if you don't want to be a part of it, that's fine. I'll figure something out. But I. Want. This. Baby.”
