~Isabella Swan~
eyes: Topaz (black if he hasn't fed) and almond-shaped
hair: Bronze, short, and messy
height: 6'2''
weight: 164 lbs.
distinguishing features: Scar on throat
general appearance: Edward has bronze hair that is in a constant state of attractive disarray. His hair is streaked through with gold and copper that highlights the peaks and waves perfectly, adding a depth and carelessness to it. His eyes range from the deepest black to a clear brilliant golden amber depending on his mood and hunger. He has strong cheekbones and a strong jaw outlining his otherwise too perfect face, giving him a somber and thoughtful expression even when he’s laughing. His skin is the color of cream, unless in direct sunlight when he sparkles like a thousand tiny diamonds. He is a tall 6’2” and his slender build makes him seem all the taller. His slight frame however is strongly muscled with lean long muscles that are built for speed and grace. His appearance is usually described as nearly painfully beautiful which makes him seem unapproachable and slightly unreal.
He tends to let his sister Alice have her way with designing his wardrobe, but prefers to keep his style casual and interchangeable. His clothes are simple in design, although flattering to his physical form with fabrics that cling slightly and accentuate his muscles. His long sleeves are usually pushed slightly up his arms and he tends to carry his jacket slung over one arm. He’s never seen with an umbrella so when it rains, or snows, the drops collect on his hair and clothes and sparkle slightly.
"I will always tell you the truth."

personality: Edward is usually quiet and contemplative. He has a manner of ease and quiet confidence about him that make him seem even more unapproachable. He can usually be seen with a faint smile on his lips, as if he’s smiling at some private joke, and tends to seem distractedly surprised when someone addresses him directly. He is usually perfectly polite and well mannered when talking with others and rarely encroaches on personal space, instead keeping a polite distance between himself and others.
He rarely looks humans directly in the eyes even when he is speaking with them, and usually only when in serious conversation with them. Among other vampires he is polite but slightly distant, as if he feels is intruding on some private moment. He loves physical activity and speed. He enjoys running and hunting as well as playing baseball and rough housing with his brothers. He seems perfectly at ease with any situation, usually by adapting the situation to himself. His attempts to drown out the steady hum of voices in his head leads others to see him as aloof or introspective.
Edward is fiercely loyal and willing to defend and protect what he loves with little thought to the risk of his own health or sanity. He uses his ability to read minds to his full advantage when talking to others, or fighting them, carefully arranging his words or his attacks based on their avenues of thought. His moods seem to shift abruptly and very miraculously because of his awareness of the thoughts of those around him. Not to mention that nearly all of his careful cool as a cucumber facade crumbles like a house of sand around Bella.
"Don't get your family slaughtered for pride."

history: Edward Anthony Masen was born in Chicago, Ill in 1901 to Elizabeth and Edward Masen. He was looking forward to being a soldier and fighting bravely in WWII when the Spanish influenza struck. His father died in the first wave of victims, his mother and himself becoming seriously ill soon after. While in the care of the hospital his mother died begging the vampire Carlisle to do anything within his power to save her son, she told him to do what others could not. Taking her plea to heart and yearning for a true companion Carlisle stole the rapidly dying Edward from the hospital soon after Elizabeth died, and changed him. The bond that formed between the two was a strong as any father and son, and eventually Carlisle found a wife for himself and a new mother for Edward in Esme.
While Edward loved both his new mother and father he found himself troubled with his gift of being able to read people’s minds and balked over the vegetarian lifestyle that his parents lived. Edward left home to feed on human blood, believing in his abilities to search the human mind’s and hunt only the worst criminals. After time Edward began to realize that even a criminal life was a human life that he had no right to take, and began to see the monster that his father had always feared in his own eyes. He shamefully returned to Carlisle and Esme and they welcomed him back like the prodigal son. Edward understood now in a way that he knew few others ever would that human life was a thing that was the most precious thing in the world. He sought to better understand human nature and so he filled his days and nights with books, and learning the languages of the world. He travelled and listened to the minds of those around him. He found not only understanding, but an outlet of humanity through music, and related it era and style and culture.
Before long other family members began to find their way to them. Starting with Rosalie, whom Carlisle had hoped would be for Edward everything that Esme was for him, but Edward and Rose were never anything but brother and sister. Rosalie found her true love in Emmett and brought him to Carlisle to save, giving Edward a brother in the process. Alice and Jasper found them next and in them Edward found as close a sister as he could ever hope for, and brother whose concern and generous nature would form an unbreakable bond.
Edward continued on, learning and watching and sharing in the happiness of his family. He felt good and whole, though his family grew increasingly more concerned for his solitary life. When he met Bella Swan everything changed. He felt as though he had been living his entire life standing in a shadow, like he had been holding his breath waiting for something without ever knowing it. And then suddenly, she was there, a tenuous light in the darkness, the beauty in the universe, everything good and kind and fragile in human kind, a perfect epitome of humanity.
At first, he tried his best to ignore her, to keep her at an arm's length or her own safety. Of course, his sanity took a blow, but what did he care? He didn't need her giving up her hopes and dreams for a guy she didn't even know. At the time, he never thought it would go as far as it did. Not in a million years did he imagine that he would actually find love in such a screwed up world, filled with poverty, hunger, and the stink of death.
However, Edward constantly warned Bella against being with him, perceiving her life to be at risk if she continued to associate with him. Bella's love and confidence in Edward's restraint caused her to ignore his warnings, even after she became the vampire James' target. Unlike the Cullen family, who were "vegetarian" vampires, James regularly fed on humans and wouldn't stop until he drank Bella's blood. With his family's help, Edward was able to save Bella from James' predations, but how to assure Bella's continued safety remained an open question.
Edward's fears for Bella's safety intensified when she cut her finger and was almost attacked by his brother Jasper. In an attempt to protect her, he convinced her that he no longer loved her, and moved away with his family, leaving Bella heartbroken. Edward found it difficult to live without Bella, and became severely depressed at the prospect of an infinitely long and meaningless life. After he mistakenly learned from his sister Rosalie that Bella had committed suicide, Edward attempted to convince a group of Italian vampires, the Volturi, to kill him. Together with his sister Alice, Bella rushed to Italy and stopped Edward before the Volturi could destroy him.
Edward explained why he left, and apologized to Bella. She eventually forgave him entirely, and they continued with their relationship as though Edward had never left, with the exception that Bella had ties that couldn't be broken with a werewolf named Jacob Black. Bella successfully sought the support of Edward's family on turning her into a vampire. While Edward was furious at the prospect, he later agreed to change her himself if she agreed to marry him first.
Bella agreed to marry Edward on the condition he will make love to her while she was still human. Edward eventually relented and agreed, on the stipulation it will only occur after they are married. The plot was driven by the machinations of the vampire Victoria, who, seeking revenge for the death of her mate James, was hunting Bella and creating new vampires to build an army. A grudging truce was made between the Cullens and the Native-American werewolf pack led by Sam Uley and Jacob Black, a friend of Bella's who was there for her when Edward broke her heart. However, the truce was endangered when Bella realized Jacob meant more to her than she thought. Ultimately, Edward accepted that Bella cared for Jacob and successfully destroyed Victoria, and Bella acknowledged that Edward was the most important person in her life. Edward told Bella that they may attempt making love before they get married, as he realized that she spent too much of her life trying to please other people. However, she refused his offer and agreed to doing things the way Edward initially wanted: marriage, making love, and then becoming a vampire.
Edward and Bella get married. Bella became pregnant on their honeymoon, and the rapid growth of the half-human, half-vampire fetus swiftly impacted on Bella’s health. Edward tried to coerce her into having an abortion in order to save her own life. However, Bella felt a bond with her unborn child and insisted on giving birth. Edward came to feel love for the baby as well, after he heard its thoughts and learned that the baby loved Bella in return. Bella nearly died giving birth in an emergency c-section, but Edward successfully delivered his daughter and then injected Bella's heart with his venom, healing her wounds by turning her into a vampire. During Bella's painful transformation, Jacob imprinted on their baby daughter, Renesmee.
After a vampire named Irina mistook Renesmee for a vampire child—a creation forbidden in the vampire world—the Volturi arrived to destroy the Cullens. Edward stood with Bella and their allies to convince the Volturi that Renesmee was not an immortal child and posessed no threat to their existence. Once the Volturi left, Edward and Bella felt free to live their lives in peace with their daughter.
Of course, with their luck, this peace was short-lived. The Volturi fell out of power like dominoes and in their place rose the pure ones. For him, it was a load of bull. Either way, he dealt with it in his own way. As time went on, he grew protective of his daughter, constantly watching any and all interactions she had with others. He didn't socialize much, and he put his faith in very few. For him, it was like he had crawled back into his shell, although this wasn't to say that he was miserable by any means, considering Bella had made his life worth living.
"You will never put me through that again."

She was tired, but she wasn't about to admit it. Everybody teased that her children had gained their stubborn nature from their mother. All she could do was agree with them. After all, what mother would deny their children getting such a unique trait from themselves? Of course, this wasn't to say that the trait was unique but rather, the way they applied it to their lives was unique. Involuntarily, her mind drifted toward her late husband, Harry Clearwater. After his death, it felt like the world had stopped spinning but for the sake of those around her, no matter how much it pained her to pretend that everything was alright, despite the fact he was no longer with her, she had barreled on with her life without any hesitation.
Now, she was dating Charlie, the one man that had the ability to make her heart soar and the rest of her troubles simply melt away. Even though she loved him, she wasn't quite ready to broach the subject of getting remarried let alone consider it, no matter how much her children claimed she deserved her own slice of heaven. For her, being the simple woman that she was, she had her slice of heaven when she was enveloped in the man's arms. Even without the ring, his last name, or a marriage certificate, she was his for as long as he chose to have her. Certainly, the situation wasn't easy, but she was still taking life by the horns and riding the waves like a surfer hyped up on steroids. It was then that her dark eyes opened to gaze up toward the dim lighting that filtered down from the ceiling light. The familiar but gentle pressure of Charlie's body curled next to hers calmed her frayed nerves and lulled her into a secure state of mind.
Stirring lightly, she sat up as her tremulous fingers dragged the sheets toward her chest. It was a feeble attempt to make herself partially decent, even if only for a little while. Knowing him and his job, he would be up and about soon to get ready for work, which meant she would need to drag her own lazy bum out of the bed and return home. Ah, how she dreaded the trip back. With a sigh of resignation, she glanced briefly toward the clothing that she had set out and folded the previous night. It was odd, readjusting to the fact that she was now in the bed of a man that wasn't Harry and surprisingly enough, the tribe either turned a blind eye or simply gave into the fact that she was old enough to make her own decisions, live her life the way she wanted to live it without the decisions being made for her. Shrugging it off, she allowed her eyes to fully adjust before sliding off of the bed and tugging on her robe.
Slow movements brought her to the kitchen as she prepared the coffee. If nothing else, the aromatic scent and the simplistic use of her hands would help to shake away whatever exhaustion remained. She felt like a traitor, for all intents and purposes. That small part of her that continually nagged that the man in the room was supposed to be Harry, not Charlie. She fought that feeling time and time again, determined to come to terms with the fact that her late husband wasn't coming back, that she'd never again get to tease him about his dietary habits. Still, Charlie had yet to move from the bed. Wandering back toward the bedroom, she continually nudged his side as a bemused expression crossed the tanned features of her face.
"Come on, sweetie. Coffee is brewin'." She crooned to him as her hand lowered to gently brush her fingertips along his face. He was an interesting sort and for the time being, he was hers. This thought in itself made her soul soar, making for an ecstatic woman, although she kept the jubilation to herself, unwilling to break the strong facade that had been in place for the majority of her life. Based upon outward appearance, it might seem as if she could take on the world and still stand tall but on the inside, it was another story entirely. As far as she could tell, only Charlie knew the truth, and she planned to keep it that way for as long as she possibly could.
