Trust your heart if the seas catch fire,(and live by love though the stars walk backward) **********A long walk around the forest was always nice. It felt great to breathe fresh air, step away from civilization for a bit, and spend a few hours in silence, only surrounded by the sound of the dried leaves cracking under her footsteps and the voices of birds. Yeah, it was always nice... unless it rained, of course.
Now, Mia had no problem with the rain at all. She liked it, but when you didn't have an umbrella with you... now, that was annoying. She'd been out for about half an hour, sitting on a tree's knotty root before the sky's tears started to fall on her. It had only been a drizzle at first, but it soon grew harder. No matter how hard she tried to enjoy it, it became pretty annoying. So she got up from her spot and started to walk about, not quite remembering the way she'd come through in the first place. Well... she figured there had to be a road at some point. She just had to find it.
But under the rain, it was going to be tough. It blurred her vision, and made walking much more dificcult. She just kept slipping over the mud. "I could always throw Mom a call..."Mia thought aloud, pulling out her cellphone.
Damn. No signal.
It was then that the image of a figure approaching her flooded her mind, and Mia gasped lightly in surprise. She turned to look around, not finding anyone. Well, it was noly natural, it was raining buckets! She ignored that fact, though."Hello?"she called out shyly, though she was sure her vision was wrong. Who would be out in the rain, anyway?
...Well. Besides herself.**********:: This posting template was created by :: Anicat :: with verses by :: E.E Cummings ::. She spent lots of time making it so DON'T STEAL!

Nyssa looked up at the dark imposing sky with a smile upon her lips. She did not flinch when the raindrops hit her pale skin. She was wearing a long black dress with sleeves which stretched down to her wrists and to her calves. The ripped effect was not the most modern of trends but it had only gone out of fashion a couple of years ago: or so Nyssa was sure. Fashion was nice but it was not the be all and end all. She had witness people become slaves to the fashion industry and thought them to be crazy (and many thought exactly that of her). There were more important things to be bothered about than what the person across the street thought about your garments. Once upon a time, Nyssa worried about whether the her home was going to be raided, or whether she was going to get any food to eat that week. Life was a hell of a lot different these days.
Nyssa decided, as the rain fell upon her, soaking through to her skin, to go for a walk. She wore no jacket. If it had been a nice day she wouldn't have been wearing any shoes. It was raining buckets and Nyssa had elected to wear only black pumps with a little bow on the front. Nyssa wasn't too fond of shoes. She liked feeling the water between her toes and the hot concrete beneath the soles of her feet. Shoes always made her feet feel as though they were caged. Nyssa couldn't stand the thought of being caged in any form or for any reason. She knew some people liked being in prison: she couldn't figure out why.
Nyssa wondered into Forks Forest. She felt no fear from falling to her death, or being attacked by a vampire. She didn't fear the Cold Ones. Humans were their natural food source, just as chicken and cow was the natural food source to humans. It was the way for the world. Humans always felt so hard done by when they discovered a predator better and badder and bigger than they were. They had an air of "it's not fair" and it isn't fair. Life was hard and it was complicated and for witches it was long. Nyssa knew vampires roamed these trees sometimes. Perhaps they had a natural inclination towards nature. Nyssa liked nature. Nature was good.
A voice reached her ears. Nyssa concentrated firmly on the young girl as she came into view. She hadn't been there long. Nyssa hoped she wasn't disturbing what the young girl hoped to be some secluded time. "Hello," Nyssa replied as she approached. She was utterly drenched but utterly content. This was a nice girl she was looking at. Nyssa hoped no one tried to corrupt her.

Trust your heart if the seas catch fire,(and live by love though the stars walk backward) **********
It could have been much, much worse. It could have been thundering, for example. Or she could have gotten caught in a hurricane. But, it was only raining. She figured, it could only be expected, everyday. This was Forks, after all. What else should she have expected? Sunny, dry days were scarce, and, when they came, they didn't last, much. It wasn't half bad, though... living under the blistering heat was probably annoying, too, like the excess of rain.
The rain reminded her of those times... so long ago, when she was still a child, and when she used to go outside and play with that best friend of hers. Him. Yeah, him. Axel. Whenever it thundered, he'd always sneak into her room to try and keep her busy with books and puzzles, so that she could ignore the storm. He'd usually ignore the fact that she had always been a servant girl, that he came from a wealthy family... the truth was, Mia had once had an innocent crush on him, one she had never aknowledged.
... she wondered what had been of him.
She didn't really ponder it, much. Right now, what mattered was going back home, and getting into dry clothes. She'd catch a cold otherwise, and her mother would be quite displeased... something she'd much rather not face. Stepping carefully as to not slip on the muddy ground, Mia started making her way around the forest. Hopefully, she'd find the road...
"Hello."
A voice snapped her from her thoughts. Mia turned to face the stranger, with innocent wide eyes and a surprised look on her face. "Oh, hi..."she mumbled, with a small wave. A meek smile appeared on her face. Man, if only she didn't suck so much at talking to people... what was she supposed to say now?
"Um... do you happen to know the way back into the town?"she asked, hoping she wouldn't consider her rude for wanting to leave so soon. Though, Mia's intention was far from being rude. She just wanted to go get dry. She was wondering if that could be considered rude...
...hopefully, not.**********:: This posting template was created by :: Anicat :: with verses by :: E.E Cummings ::. She spent lots of time making it so DON'T STEAL!
