   It was now the start of September and Lucy hadn't spoken to Seth in a few weeks, So she had decided they needed to speak to each other since she was now nearly four months pregnant & they needed to decide what the next logical thing to do was Lucy had been saving up money in case anything should happen to Seth then she could still raise their baby. She still had a lot of the money from her trust fund she was driving over to Seth's house, hoping Leah wasn't there. She didn't need the tension created by being in the same room with someone she knew didn't trust her.
When she pulled up outside the housem after turning off the engine she looked down at her stomach "Hey in there, Joanna. We're about to see your daddy. I am just thankful you don't eat as much as a shifter yet." she hoped that the baby wouldn't become a shifter, some day. Then of course life had a strangely flowing nature sometimes. She got her purse and got out of the car.
Her Mother had decided to leave washington so her father wouldn't find where Lucy was because Daphne understood what Lucy was doing.
She knew her daughter had found herself in this town. She wwasnlt sure f it was too soon to wear maternity clothes but her mother had gotten her some before returning to Maine. Lucy was presently wearing yoga pants, a ,maternity,tshirt with butterflies on it and a grey cardigan.
Her feet were swollen so she was wearing simple jersey knit ballet style shoes. She got out of the car after putting on her sunglasses and locked it. In the last month she had gotten a little better at driving.
She made sure her door was locked, and went up to the front door of Seth's house and knocked on the door, she hoped he was home and awake. She leaned against the porch railing as she waited to see if someone would open the door. She wondered if all pregnant women felt this mixture of excitement and obsession then of course she had a feeling that was due in part to he fact that she was also an imprint. She wondered if the other imprints felt like this, or if the feeling was unique to the person who imprinted. She Also Wondered if Seth Could hear the heart beat

Seth had been avoiding her he knew it since a few days after they had gotten back…the doubts in his head were there and did bother him. He had not talked to her about them because the thoughts alone were a bit unnerving they were both to young to be parents. Had he known that it could happen when he had…taken her? Yes but at the time he had also thought she was on the pill and had been only for it to fail. Sighing he closed his eyes and laid down on his bed and rested there staying in peace for the most part.
Hearing a car coming he rolled over and ignored it until he heard the sound of someone knocking. Thinking of just letting them leave he slowly rolled out of bed and sighed “one minute” he called and got a shirt and shorts on and then walked to the door and opened it. Freezing in his tracks he saw Lucy and gave her a short smile “hey” he said simply his voice calm. Did he care about her yes he would not lie about that as she had defiantly found a part of his heart but sometimes he wondered…most times he wondered if he had made the mistake in going to fast to quickly with her and now they would both pay.
He had wanted to go to college and now even that had to think that those plans maybe in jeopardy. He pushed the thoughts away though as he shook his head “come in” he smiled at her and stepped aside. She was almost five months in and he doubted that it would be that much longer until he would be a father in a few months and the thought bothered and scared him at the same time. Swallowing he closed his eyes and walked over and sat down on the couch “how have you been?” he asked her after a few moments.
He had enjoyed the last few weeks when he had been able to enjoy the quietness he would have that allowed him to clear his head. He didn’t have someone always asking questions where he would have to answer….instead of always having his sister at his throat because she would cling to him and even though they maybe close he sometimes felt smothered and annoyed by her. Taking a breath he closed his eyes and slowly calmed down as he looked at her “it has been awhile Lucy…I hope all is well” he said after a few moments his voice soft.

Lucy had been thinking, in the time, that she knew Seth had been avoiding her. "Hello." She responded as she entered "I am fine. I left you voice mails. The baby is healthy and she has a strong heart beat." she looked into his eyes. She placed her hand on her stomach "Seth, I've been thinking. You can still be in her life but i want you to go ahead with your own plans." she paused as she looked at him, she loved him so much and she didn't want to to ruin his life. She couldn't be mad at him, after all their daughter would change everything.
The young woman was so confused "We can talk if you would like. I felt like you needed space." that was the truth but she could hardly believe it had had been over a month.
Then she sat down, "How are things going with the pack the last time I saw you you were leaving for a pack meeting and that was about two months ago." she said "Do you have anything to eat. It's time for me to take a vitamin but it makes me little queasy if i am not eating when i take it without food." she said as she took out her pill box "I want you to be happy." she said, she winced a little "She has a strong kick." Lucy wasn't really sure what to say she had wanted to say so much, but, as soon as she was allowed in most of her thoughts had gone away. "We could go to college together. I've been avoiding going because I didn't want my father to know where I live. But I am tired of hiding." she placed her hand on her stomach "Even if you decide not to talk to me again, i promise i will never tell anyone about the pack." she looked at her feet, she was a little afraid of looking at him for some reason.
Lucero Tamsyn Collins, finally started to understand who she was "I am just as confused as you are. I came to Washington in search of myself. I found you." she looked at him "All we can do is try our best to make a decent future for Joanna. That's what i call our daughter. It makes her easier to talk to. they know unborn babies can see and hear in the womb." She paused "If you want... you can talk to her." she said, she wasn't sure what he would do but she wanted to make an offer. "if you want to see them i have ultrasound photos of her." she said
it took a while for her to stop over thinking what she wanted to do. She wasn't stressed she just didn't want Seth to feel backed into a corner with no chance of escape. She was also trying to give him chance to say something. She knew when she was nervous she tended to take control of conversations. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, then smiled at him. It was easy to forget he was only a teenager and she couldn't imagine what it felt like to suddenly go from being normal teenager to being a shifter, then now he was going to be a father. She looked at him again. She loved Seth Clearwater and she wanted him to be happy.
"I miss you so much, Seth." she looks into his eyes, or at least up at him she had been too nervous to look at him since she had given him time to speak.

He could see the hurt in her eyes and he could barely look at her for a few moments as he listened to her a small shock going through him…his plans something he had pushed aside for the time being and it made it only harder “Lucy” he said her name softly his eyes downcast for a few moments a daughter he thought and bit his lip he was going to have a daughter…a beautiful young girl he thought. Slowly a smile came to his lips as he watched her “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have avoided you” slowly he stepped up to her and wrapped his arms around her and held her the best that he could. He had missed her in many ways and it showed now when he looked at her.
She had a good heart that much was always there even if he sometimes felt overwhelmed he closed his eyes and sighed “I don’t know where we belong Lucy I am sorry” he whispered as it killed him to say it “I care about you and the baby but its so much right now” he looked down as he paused “no matter what happens between us….I want to be in our daughters life” he knew that things could have gone either way with that comment but he showed he still did care and his eyes were soft yet sad at the same time. She had a good heart and was one of the few people he had felt so close to and it was there even now as he touched her cheek running his fingers along her skin slowly and kissed her lightly brushing his lips against hers “I…wont avoid you anymore” he promised after a few minutes and gave her a small smile.
They had time to figure things out even though they were about to be parents in a month or two. Getting her something to eat he then sat down by her and handed her the plate. He couldn’t count how many times he had been tempted to make that phone call to see what was going on and to see how the baby was…he felt like a jerk about it and it showed in his eyes as he looked at the ground and swallowed “I have been a jerk to you and the baby I am sorry Lucy I just don’t know where things are going…where we maybe heading my heads spinning anymore” he kept his voice quiet as he rested his hands inside of his pockets for a moment and closed his eyes clearing his head.
Closing his eyes he paused thinking of what to say to the baby even though he wondered if that report had any serrate he rubbed his forehead and came up with the safest thing he could think of and smiled “we love you…both of us my darling little girl you mean the world to us” he said quietly and rested his hand gently on her stomach and held it there “sure” he said after a few moments about the ultrasound and smiled at her it was then he looked into her eyes and rested his hand in hers “I’ve missed you to” he admitted after a few moments and hugged her gently and held her in his arms at least the best that he could and he sighed “we will figure things out” he assured her even if he didn’t know where they would end up he knew he wanted to be in their Childs life…it was his position with the mother that made him sad and he paused “come here” he said and smiled wrapping a blanket around them as he held her kissing her lightly and held it as his lips pressed against hers.

She rested her head against him as he hugged her. She wasn't sure what to say for a few moments she could feel his emotions in his touch "I feel like Washington is where i was meant to be. My mother told was nearly born in La Push. She was doing an essay for college and she spent a month in La Push." she looked at him "Seth, I am as scared as you in regards to being a parent. I want you to help me find a house to live in the apartment I am in right now is going to be too small once the baby comes." she looked at him
Lucy felt tingly and sighed as he ran his finger along her cheek, she returned his gentle kiss. She looked at him "I hope you don't think this is just my being non confrontational but I understand how you feel. I never felt like Collinwood was where I belonged. If you have never become a shifter what would you want to do?" she looked in him "My parents got married because of me. In fact the version of the family history has the dates changed so no one outside the family even knows they got married after I was born. My mother finally decided to divorce my father. She realized even though she loves him there's no use in pretending like she doesn't know he uses his werewolf side as an excuse to have affairs and drink. I am not saying you would do that. You're an honest person." she placed her hand on his heart "Never forget you're human you may turn into a wolf but you're still human." she said
She looked at him as she started eating. She takes out the little photo album she had put the ultrasound photos after swallowing she looked at him "I know. But i still believe everything happens for a reason. The 3-D ultrasound picture is the coolest one you can see her features and they didn't need to tell me she has hair. most of the people in my father's family were born with hair." her mother had told her, that before Lucy was born she had known Lucy would have hair because she would have heart burn. "Sometimes when Joanna moves her hair rubs against my heart." she said
As Seth Spoke, Lucy felt the baby move. She took his hand and placed it where the baby was kicking. "She likes your voice. I feel normal when i am with you. In Maine I never felt normal. Whatever Normal really means." she said and sighed as he wrapped a blanket around them she rested against him "It's nice being, here, with you. Promise me we will never take Joanna to Collinwood. That place has dark energy around it. It's my family that's haunted not the house." she rested against him "Do you want to be in the delivery room? My doctor's been asking me about reserving a delivery room for the estimated arrival date. I didn't want to reserve a birthing room if i wasn't going to have anyone there with me." she sighed she always had a feeling the doctor was assuming the wrong things about her being, at the hospital, by herself for appointments.
The Young woman had this feeling that the doctor was always stopping just short of suggesting that she give the baby up for adoption. "The Doctor seems to think i am making things up because I see him alone. Most people have someone go with them to a doctor's appointment." she took a deep breath "I love you and Joanna." she rested her hand against his chest "I know becoming parents is a huge change. all we can do is plan and hopefully everything will work out." she said "You have pretty eyes. I've been trying to imagine what Joanna will look like." she looked at him "My next doctor's appointment is in a few weeks. If you want you can come." she said

He listened to her as she spoke and closed his eyes and took a breath where did he belong? Was it here in La Push or was he meant to go out into the world and become something more…was he meant to be here with her and be the father that was needed or was he the one who would be gone all the time where he would barely see his daughter and Lucy? So many questions were going through his head sometimes as he closed his eyes and slowly relaxed. They were still young he hoped they would have that time to get passed this and figure things out as he held her close and sighed “you should rest here for awhile” he said as he stroked her hair slowly.
She liked his voice? A small smile came to his face but quickly vanished when she said that she felt normal around him “you are normal Lucy” he said and sighed “I am the one who can turn into a big wolf you’re a human” he laughed softly and leaned down and kissed her forehead and slowly leaned back and watched her as she ate a small smile coming to his face “your more then normal I would not worry about it you’ll be fine no matter what happens” he admitted. She would be able to find someone out there if things ever did go south for them she was beautiful and sweet…perfect in so many ways he thought as he inhaled her scent.
Looking through the pictures he slowly flipped them his hand shaking some as he looked down at them and listened “I’ll be there and drive you” he said after a few moments as he looked up and into her eyes and sighed. He had no idea how hard this must have been for her to go through the past few months and he hated himself for what he had done…he would do everything that he could to make up for what he had done and perhaps the pain that he had caused her in the past. He still cared about her and it showed in his eyes as he took a breath and sighed “what time would you need me there?” he asked her after a few moments with a smile.
When they had first met he had felt that bond that drew him to her to make him want her in the worst way…imprinting and as he looked down at her as she relaxed he knew he still wanted her though it was hard at times he cared about her… she would have his baby soon and then the two had decisions to make some of which would be easy and some he doubted would be anywhere near easy as he closed his eyes and kissed her lightly “how did you get here?” he asked her after a few moments she couldn’t have driven it would not have been comfortable that much he could tell because of her stomach and swollen feet as he looked into her eyes “I hope you didn’t want Lucy” he said after a few moments.

She looked at him "I need to check the time. It's an hour after the end of my first college class. I'm going to study business." she said.
She scratched the center of her forehead. "You really think I am normal. No one has really ever considered a Collins Normal before." she grinned "Believe me i don't want to move. I felt so alone while you were avoiding me. There were a few times where i started thinking the Collins Curse was real. That's the reason the people in my father's family us for being stuck in spiral of self pity and i personally think it comes from living too long in Collinwood. every generation including mine has experienced death in that house. My uncle had three sons and i am fairly sure he killed them because he was the last person seen with them before they disappeared." she looked down.
Lucy looked at him "You don't need to apologize." she rested against him "it's been raining and i don't live that far away i drove because I have bad ankles and i had to wear my cotton slip-ons they were the only ones i could get on." she said smiling. she rested against him "How is your sister doing she may not like me but i still wonder about her." she said "that came out wrong. I would have called but i wanted to talk face to face because I was afraid if I talked to you on the phone i might start crying." she said and she points to ultrasound "the 3D one costs 300 dollars i figured it would be really awesome." she rested her head against him "We don't have to get married." she said
She rested her head against and listened to the wind flowing outside "Are you alone in the house?" She inquired as she took in his scent "I'd like to stay here until morning." she admitted, she liked his scent sometimes the smells of nature her think of Seth. "I've always felt we were meant to meet. Aside from the Imprint i needed a reason to tell someone my secrets because I was tired of keeping them." She was tired of being afraid of being judged but she knew it was also human nature to assume the worst of people.
She looked into his eyes "You Seth are the best person I've ever met." she said as she played with the fingers on his hand "You will be a great father."
