Basil sighed quietly as he sat in his home that he had bought in the forest that he had bought years before when he had been exiled. Closing his eyes he leaned back in his chair. He had spent most of the day training in the forest before he had come inside just before dark. After Faith had gone to her usual month long sleep he had gone through the memories and placated where things were. Shaking his head he sighed and lowered his head and closed his eyes. Resting his hands on the side of the chair he pressed a button and switched the channel to some sports his eyes following it as he started to relax completely.

Getting hungry after awhile he walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge which was always stocked full pulling out some meat and veggies he cooked and made a decent sized meal cleaning up as he went humming he soon had the food in the oven and slowly relaxed his eyes closed. He loved living in the forest as it relaxed him and he could not be bothered by the excess of humans unless he decided to be and then that was rare unless he wanted something like food or just to have a day on the town…it depended on his mood. Shaking his head he sighed and glanced out the window.

Feeling his defenses being touched he frowned and summoned his staff to his hand and walked outside. It was probably an animal but he wanted to be sure making his way closer towards where he felt it he spotted a deer that was being stubborn and he let it through making it so animals could get through and let it bound through and smiled as he turned towards his home again leaving the defenses up as he closed his eyes and slowly relaxed putting his staff behind his back into its holder. He had thought that something was wrong at least he was not under attack…at least not yet he doubted would last forever he was a target being alone it made him vulnerable which annoyed him…shaking his head he stared at the sky as the moon as it rose in the night sky.

After Nessie left the house after what she did to Jake and leaving the bracelet on the ground not wanting it at all. She moved her hair away from her face as she staid in a tree. She couldn't handle being this close to him so she climbed the tree and jumped through it and into the second floor in her dad and mom's room. She went off into her room and packed her bookbag with some clothes and some things before going back through the window.

Once out into a tree she climbed her way downward and headed off into the woods. Once Nessie was on the ground she started running off to where Basil's house was. As she was running she knew that she was crying. She hated being this venerable but then again she was only three years old but looks to be about ten and has already experienced her heart breaking. She had no clue where her feet were taking her really since she was just crying and just running.

She stopped though when she saw that she was near Basil's house. She tried to wipe away her tears but couldn't. So she walked cautiously toward his place waiting for his defenses to go off.

He had been heading back when he felt her touch the defenses and frowned but soon knew the touch and started towards the defenses lowering them “Nessie?” he asked her as he saw her she was crying and it broke his heart. Moving towards her he wrapped his arms around her and held her close “hey kiddo…whats wrong?” he asked her after a few moments. Though Nessie was young she cared about the young hybrid and a part of her hoped that they would always be close as he held her close he paused “come on lets head in” she wrapped her arom around the girls shoulder and walked slowly towards his house with her.

To say that he had been at war with himself on where he felt towards her weather closer or further. He was fighting a battle that he didn’t know if he would be able to win. Opening the door he sighed and walked inside the house and set the defences up and thought for a moment ‘do I have to call your parents/” he asked her softly. He had no idea what had made her so upset and that made him wonder at the moment if something had happened at the house. Closing his eyes he put the staff away into his closest and took a breath coming back out “can I get you anything Ness?” he asked her softly.

He cared about her and it showed in his eyes as he paused “have you ate yet?” he asked after a few moments and wished Faith was here. She was a better people person then he could be at times…he would do his best with her. He knew what she did prefer in blood and even though he accepted it sometimes did turn his stomach as he looked out the window and sighed quietly “come here Kiddo you look like you need someone” he whispered and wrapped his arms around her slowly and held her body close to his own as he closed his eyes and held her in his arms.

Renesmee continued on walking before wiping her eyes. She saw Basil and heard him ask her what's wrong. She looked at him before crying and looking down "no Basil. Jacob hurt me by showing up at my house with his beta and that they are pregnant." Ever since Nessie saved Basil in the ocean she has started to develop a crush on him but didn't know how she would tell him especially now that Jacob broke her heart. She wiped at her tears but they kept on falling.

Nessie nodded her head as she heard him say that they should head on inside which she didn't mind. She walked into the house with him. She looked around the place as she tried to smile before going over to a chair and hugged her knees to her chest. She heard him ask her if he needed to call her parents. She sighed and said "I don't want them to know where I am since they would probably want me to go back to the house with them and that place has to many bad memories."

When he asked her if he could get her anything she looked up at him and asked "May I stay here for a while? I don't really want to go home." After she said that she sniffed some before wiping at her eyes again trying to get rid of the tears that were still coming down. Her eyes of course were a darker color but she said "I'm okay." When he asked her if she had ate yet. She knew that she should eat but she just wasn't in the mood for either human food or animals. When he told her to go over to him she went over to him and wrapped her arms around him as she tried to get rid of her tears.

Jacob that name he knew quite well from when Faith and himself would speak to her. The girl was crazy over him and to see her pain now as she said that he had knocked up a beta…whatever that was made him cringe. Walking to her he wrapped his arms around her and held her close “I’ve got you Nessie” he whispered and held her close. She had a good heart and when he saw this his heart went out to her instantly as he stroked her hair gently “you’ll find someone better” he whispered to her his voice soft as he looked down into her chocolate brown eyes and gave her a sad smile.

Feeling her body against his he wrapped his arms protectively around her and held her close his head resting gently on top of hers as he sighed “I wish I could protect you Nessie…so much you mean the world to me” he whispered to her gently. He had started to fall in love with her not that long after they would have met. She was young but was always growing whenever he would see her while she sat frozen she was going to live a long time and as he looked at her he sighed “don’t give up my Reneesmee sometimes when things may seem rough later on you’ll realize that he was not the one” closing his eyes he paused and kissed her forehead.

When she asked to stay he paused “yes but you need to call home and tell them…I cant keep your family from you Nessie” he said softly and gently set her down “I will be back” he said and gently reached out and squeezed her shoulder gently and then went and made her a plate of food as well as one for himself. He knew she may not be hungry but he wouldn’t let her starve “here you go you need to keep your strength up” he said his voice soft as he sat next to her again his eyes going back to hers such worry in his eyes as he swallowed he lump in his throat.
