It’s the rule that you live by and die for It’s the one thing you cannot deny Even though you know what the price is, It is justified
It was about noon, but no one would know that just by looking outside. No, the sky was covered with dark gray clouds. It wasn’t raining yet, but the skies were threatening to open up like a waterfall. Naturally, the residents were relatively unperturbed by this and were still walking around as if nothing was amiss. There was one person who seemed to be even less touched by the weather than the others.
The woman was wearing nothing more than a pair of black flares — with designer rips at one near and near a pocket on the opposite leg — and a purple and black t-shirt. She wore dark sunglasses that blocked her dark red eyes from view, but that was the only thing that set her apart from anyone else. No, on the surface she looked like anyone else. She had beautiful, flowing black hair and a pale skin tone that showed just enough color to say that she wasn’t a ghost. Her purse hung over her shoulder swing in time to her pace. Her black stilettos clicked against the pavement as she made her way down the streets.
No one who looked at this mysterious woman would think anything was off or wrong with her. Not many would be able to pick out that she wasn’t human. The only exceptions would be the werewolves, shifters, vampires, and hybrids — and perhaps an exceptionally observant human. No, most humans couldn’t pick out a vampire amongst them until it was too late. Even then, sometimes they still didn’t realize it. She was no ordinary vampire, however.
Her name was Liana D’Cruz, a little Portuguese-Italian spitfire. She wasn’t just anyone though. Oh no, she was one of the key factors of the Volturi’s reign coming to an end. She was the one sent in to get under their defences. She was the one who made it possible for Christopher to steal Chelsea’s power, allowing him to steal Aro’s and bring the Volturi to their knees. Or well those that had been at the castle at the time. Of course, some had escaped death, but not all. As the seconds ticked by, the survivors were being hunted and erradicated.
Her mate was one of those assigned to their disposal. This left Lia alone and relatively moody at the castle. It was the reason she was currently in the States. It was why she was actually in Port Angeles. She was headed for Forks, but the town was a ghost town in the making and there was barely anything to do. So she decided to leave her little room at the single inn that she was currently staying in to do some exploring at the closest thing to civilization she could find. In all reality, Forks, Washington was depressing. Port Angeles wasn’t much better but at least it had a decent mall.
The mall was exactly where she had been headed when her cell phone went off. She dug it out of her purse as it continued to chime, sighing when she saw the Caller I.D. She answered the phone on the second ring only to hear Chris’s second-in-command demand a progress report. Not that she had much time to make any progress. She had just gotten things set up in her room no more than an hour ago.
“I only just got here,” Lia said calmly, though her tone threatened to show her growing temper. “I was given some free reign, and I hadn’t seen any of the Cullens so I decided to get some things in the city. I will call soon as I meet one of them, alright?”
“Fine,” he hissed. “But hurry up!”
After promising that she’d make quick work of the coven here, she hung up and started her way back toward the mall. She had driven here, but parked the car on the edge of the city so she could walk. She had never been a fan of cramped spaces and walked or ran every chance she got.

DONT WANNA HEAR YOUR SAD SONG DON'T WANNA FEEL YOUR PAIN The urge to throw up has never been so big as it is right now. Hayley had to leave la push for once. She had been locked up there for weeks just because her father didn’t like to let her go sometimes. The shifter walked her way to the mall her hands in her pockets her mind on zero. She had loud music on her headphone as she walked into the mall of Port Angeles. She had to go see the Cullens again, new vampire smells had been traced and she had to know who it was and if they knew them. Hayley walked to the nearest starbucks and ordered a coffee. The man called Leo was a nice guy and he always gave her free donuts.
She smiled. Hello Leo, long time it has been.
she said friendly as she took the coffee and the donut. indeed it has been a long time Hayley. How’s the business, sill doing the diamonds? he asked as she sat down at the bar. She nodded sadly and looked around in the empty starbucks then she turned back to him. They got more then diamonds these days, ruby’s and sapphires, he’s doing tough business right now. she said with a sigh and took a sip of her coffee. She smiled, caramel , her favorite. She took a bite from the fresh donut and frowned. Why was it so quiet, around this time most people joined her at the starbucks of Leo. Leo smiled and gave her another donut, for free! well most people are scared of going outside right now. Not good for the business, police has been searching the mall for a long time and still are. Hayley frowned while chewing on her donut. why? she asked with her mouth full of donut. Leo smiled and sat down. no one knows, but they say people are getting murdered, its scary, makes girls like you unsafe on the streets. he said and shrugged. Hayley nodded understanding but she didn’t worry about herself. She worried more about humans, vampires. She got up and smiled. thanks for the food and coffee Leo, I’ll see you tomorrow, I got to go now. she smiled and tapped his shoulder as she walked out of the starbucks store. She walked her way to the jewelry store when she saw a woman and smelled the woman. The stinky smell of vampire filled her nose up. Hayley took a deep breathe and passed by as she opened the door to her jewelry store. She said nothing and walked in where she looked back at the vampire once. The vampire ruined her day. She took a large sip of her coffee and sat down behind the counter. She grabbed a book and waited for the cling of the bell. She would rather kill the vampire now, because somehow she suspected it for the murders. Since she was alone in the pack and her grandfather told her it would grow one day she said nothing and relaxed. The vampire wouldn’t hurt her, she wouldn’t dare too. Hayley never cared of being a baby tiger shifter, she might be small but she is strong as hell. Hayley looked at the woman again and could smell her in the store. She grabbed some perfume and sprayed a little around her. She couldn’t stand vampire stink. Hayley sighed and heard the bell ringing as she put her book down. Her green eyes following the person in the store walking. Can I do anything for you? she asked with a frown. She hated working in the morning, and she definitely need some more coffee to spend the morning. It’s the rule that you live by and die for It’s the one thing you cannot deny Even though you know what the price is, It is justified
Lia entered the little jewelry shop and stiffened slightly at the scent that immediately assaulted her. It wasn’t human entirely. It had a sort animal-like tint to it. Shapeshifter, it had to be that. It just wasn’t the sort that she was used to. She was used to wolves and werewolves. There was no wet dog scent to this. It was a subtle difference, but the end result was the same. It made Lia want to barf or go further and tear her nose off.
Can I do anything for you?
Lia looked up at the girl’s voice and immediately she knew where the scent was coming from without even attempting to pinpoint it. First off, the girl seemed to be the only one there. Normally, Lia would either leave at this point or become hostile. She couldn’t do either of those at this point. She had come here for a specific reason and she wasn’t going to change her mind. With a great deal of effort, she made her way over to the counter and set a ring on the glass surface. The ring was of silver with a single eye-shaped diamond in the center. It was positively beautiful, but it was obviously old. She looked up at the girl for moment.
“Can you replace stones?” Lia asked. “I want the diamond stone replaced with an ammolite stone.”
The ring itself was her wedding ring and had been since the day Vincent had married her. She had never replaced the ring. However, she changed the stone regularly, about every decade or so. She would alternate between a diamond and some other stone. Since her last stone replacement was a diamond, she got to change it up a little. She hadn’t had an ammolite yet so this was what she wanted to use to replace it. It was just something different and she liked the occasional change.

DONT WANNA HEAR YOUR SAD SONG DON'T WANNA FEEL YOUR PAIN The vampire smell filled up her nose which burned like fire. She kept friendly though as the vampire woman , who somewhat scared her walked her way and dropped a wedding type of ring on the counter. A replacement. No problem. What did she do here anyways? Its not like it was the only place that existed. Hayley smiled though , a friendly hostile smile. Of course miss, we have a small collection of stones.
Hayley said and got through her knees to get the small box of stones. She placed it on the counter and opened the box. She showed it to the vampire. Eugh the smell! Hayley wasn’t used to the too sweet smell. Like being thrown in a flower bath. You can pick any of them , I’ll adjust it to the size of the ring. I suppose you need the diamond one day? So I can wrap it into a small package so you won’t lose it? [/b Hayley suggested and grabbed the ring, her eyes good enough for not needing a microscope. She sized it up and tookt he diamond out with a small pincer. When she had it she wrapped it in and gave he small package back to the vampire. The coldness coming from the vampire’s body as she knew the face from somewhere, not sure where to be exact. Hayley grabbed her tools for sizing the stone as she waited for the woman’s choice. She didn’t hate vampires, no not at all. But she didn’t like them either. She trusted some of them but not all of them which might bring in some confusion but that’s the way it is. She took off her black jacket and wrapped her red hair in a ponytail. She still had her glasses on and took them off to see a little more clear. Usually people see clear with them, she sees more clear without.
