The misty air was really starting to get to him. His nice soft coat was now nothing but coarse, and matted. Why him? It had been a long, and yet sad week for Jacob. He knew he had to get away from things, but the distance between he and Renesmee tore his now empty stomach to pieces. There wasn't really much he could do. Obviously work had to come first for him this time.
Finally coming to his human form, Jacob slipped into his truck and reached for a pair of his torn jeans. After all the stress he had endured at work, that run was very much needed. "Come on!" He stressed, looking to the time in the vehicle. Only tewnty-four more hours, and he was finally headed back to Forks. Even though he had dreaded the long drive, he knew he had to take the truck home or his employees would find it a little too odd that he had made it home without a vehicle. Pulling the door back, Jacob jumped inside and started it up. It was time he had began his journey home. It was a long drive from Dallas Texas to Washington.
The overpass signs flew by as he laid his foot down on the gas. The gauge shot up from seventy-five to ninety-eight. Jacob wasn't one to follow the speed limits, especially when he had someone to get home too and a nice, comfortable bed to sleep in. The cops, and state boys were the last thing on his love-struck mind. Rolling down his passenger side window, he allowed a small breeze to whirl around the stuffed up truck. Being the way he was, the heat was getting to him just a bit breaking his body out in small sweats. It was very rare for Jacob to even fathom the thought of smoking, but in the situation he was in, he found it tolerable just as long as Renesmee or Bella didn't find out.
Finally, the road signs grew shorter and shorter. He could feel his heart beat against his chest. In a way, he could already hear the soothing sound of Renesmee's voice. Making a few small turns, Jake found himself turning down the main highway going towards Forks. The sun was already beginning to rise, thankfully he had made it back to Forks in time to see Nessie before she ended up going on a family date with Bella or Edward.
Flipping on his blinker, Jake pulled into the long narrow driveway headed towards Bella and Edwards home. They would have to get over the fact of him showing up early in the morning. Even though they didn't sleep. Pulling up to the house, Jake let off of the gas and shut the truck down. -- Word Count: 400+-- --Music: Highway Man- Willie Nelson--

Tossing and turning beneath the covers, the small brunette settled onto her left side, staring at the white windowpane from the bed she lay in. Her bronze eyes absentmindedly locked on the sunlight that filtered in through the closed blinds.
Usually, Renesmee had no troubles sleeping. It was only of late that she found herself staying up long hours of the night, staring at the cieling or laying there awake. She knew that her parents wouldn't like how little she was sleeping lately, she didn't like it much. Being tired when you had all this energy wasn't fun. But she had good reason for not sleeping!
She missed her Jake.
It had been a week since she had last saw him. An entire week! Normally this wouldn't trouble her this much but she wasn't sure where he had went and that bothered her. She felt nervous inside. She didn't think something was wrong, wrong, wrong like he was hurt. She liked to think that she'd know if something like that happened... oh, she hopped so. She didn't want Jacob to be hurt! She couldn't fathom the thought.
She wondered what he was up to.
Noticing a low hum in the air, Renesmee's eyes focused on the window, her attention on the earth outside. It sounded like... an engine? Pushing the covers off of her she swung her legs to the side of the bed getting out in a flash of speed. She walked to the window and lifting her hands she pushed two blinds apart, peering through them. She could see a car driving up and at the sight of it her heart imediatly started beating faster, as if it wasn't fast enough already. She recognized that truck.
Jake!
Eye's alit with excitement, Renesmee dashed out of her bedroom and down the flight of stairs running all the way to the front door, still wearing her pj's. Once there she swung the door open, being careful enough as to not break it or anything, she ran out just as the truck stopped.
From here she could see him now behind the cars windshield. A smile was on her lips as she made her way over. "Jake!"

Jake let out a small, humbling sigh as he reached down into his center council to his his filthy habit. His heart slammed against his chest as soon as he heard the front door fly open. For all he knew, it could have been Bella coming to ream his ass out for coming over this early. He knew Renesmee was young, and did need her sleep, but he had to see her. Jacob had been going through horrible separation problems. Even if he could only see her for a minute or two, that was perfectly fine for him.
Reaching for the door handle, he heard a familiar soothing voice call out for him. "Jake!" His heart began to flutter, and his hands shook. There in front of him stood Renesmee. Still as beautiful as ever dressed in her pajamas. Hopefully he didn't get in trouble for waking her up. Opening the door, he stepped out and hurried towards her. Reaching for her, he slid his hands under her arms and hoisted her up to him. Jake's hand laid perfectly on the back of her head, pulling it towards his chest. "I missed you so much Nessie!" He spoke, not letting her go.
He had to of been holding her close for at least a good minute or two. There was no way in hell he wanted to let her down. Being away for a week was like nothing but torture. "I hope I didn't wake you." He spoke softly, finally letting her down. "I just had to see you. It felt like it had been forever since i last seen your joyous brown eyes." With a big grin, Jake reached down to grab hold of her cheek in a friendly fashion.
Even though he had gotten teased by Leah, and the rest of the pack for imprinting on such a young child; he didn't seam to really let it bother him at all. He couldn't help who he had fallen in love with. After all, she was a baby when it had first happened. It wasn't like he had planned for it. But he was glad it had happened. Renesmee brought so much happiness to Jacob. He was never going to let anyone hurt her. Death was an option to him when it came down to that.
Reaching down, Jake kissed her gently on the forehead and grabbed hold of her rather small hand. "Where are you parents?" He questioned looking around. He was for sure they would have came out by now to complain. But they didn't. And honestly, he would of cared if they did. At least he was greeted by someone he had cared deeply about.

Now in his arms, Renesmee's arms wrapped around him as her head lay against his chest. Her heart fluttering like the small humming bird that it was. "I missed you too!" She whispered happily, eyes shut and smiling, she so excited to have him back. She hated being away from him. A day or two was okay but a minute later and she missed him to much. It was odd but true, she missed him when he wasn't around.
Shaking her head softly, she spoke. "Don't leave again." Opening her eyes she tilted her head back to look up at him, a pleading look in their bronze depths. She didn't want him to go, she wanted to be with him right now. For a little while at least!
Being let down, Renesmee giggled as he touched her cheek, her rosy cheeks growing a little rosier at the comment. "You didn't wake me." She said reasuringly. "I was already awake." She didn't want to tell him that she couldn't sleep because she missed him, she didn't want to make him feel bad. And she had gotten a little bit of sleep so she wasn't exhausted. As of now she didn't feel tired at all. Any exhaustion that had been in her left when she saw the car pulling up.
Heart fluttering that much more because of the kiss, Renesmee slipped her hand into his holding it. "Mom and dad out. They'll be back later though." She said with a nod. She was glad that they weren't though. They might be mad that Jacob had come over this early, and Renesmee didn't want them or anyone to get mad. She was happy to see him! It had been a week! That was a long time!

Holding her hand still, Jake didn't want to let go. He loved that little girl no matter what. He didn't care what Leah, or any of the other pack members had said. Renesmee was the one for him. She was his imprint. Walking towards the house with her, he made his way inside with her still being close. It was still very dark. Every blind was shut, and all the appliances had been shut off. It still felt weird to him that Bella was now one of them. She wasn't the warm hearted girl he had once known before. But then again, things changed.
"Mom and dad out. They'll be back later though." That irked him. The thought of Bella and Edward leaving her home by herself with no supervision. It just wasn't right. So what if they had Leah or Seth on patrol, that didn't give them the right to just up and leave. Turning on one of the family room lights, Jake took a seat on the Sofa. Picking her back up, he sat Renesmee on his lap. Her long brown hair tickled his face. "I don't see why they didn't just take you." His eyes shifted towards his truck that had sat outside all by itself.
Thoughts began to swarm his mind as he looked back to her. A spark of interest flared up. "How would you like to go for a ride to the beach? Or possibly come back to my house and see Rachel and them?" He knew his sister had been up for a while now, and she was dying to meet Bella's new "Adopted" daughter. Or so she thought. Obviously his sister was blind to it all. But sooner or later, he knew he would have to tell her. --Word count: 300+-- --Music: Crazy Girl- Eli Young Band-- --Outfit: Jeans, tee, and work boots.--
