Kai made her rounds around the hospital. Kai rubbed her head and sighed. This was something to get use too. Kai watched as two people walked by her. Kai then heard her name get called, Kai turned around as her name was called and raised an eyebrow.
"Dr.Armstrong!"
Kai smiled as a littely boy watched up to her and then she got on her knees and then said.
"Hello kiddo, how is your mother doing?"
The kid smiled, and then his gree eyes lit up at the 'mother' coming from her. The kid then said.
"Mommy is doing better, Mommy is in no pain thanks to you."
Kai smiled and then said as she pulled the boy into a hug.
"That's good to hear, I'm happy she feeling better. Anywho, you need to go back to your family, we wouldn't want your family to worry about you, ok?"
The boy nodded and Kai watched as the boy walked back to his mother room and was safe and sound with his parents. Kai know the boy's mother only had a few more days to live, the boy's mother had cancer, and was slowly dieing, giving her son false hope that she would get better.
Minutes later, Kai walks into the breakroom and starts eating her lunch. The little boy from earlier, she could think of the look on the boy when his mother was dead. Kai still faintly remember her mother, after the broke thourgh the womb of her mother, her mother stared at her in awe and the words she said the were "Kai Ann Armstrong" in her deading moment, which was her name.
Kai then caught the smell of a vampire and her eyes went wide and then she said in her head.
"Wha..What... There is a vampire is working in a hospital? Why didn't I catch it earlier...."

Bree had come to the hospital in search of her grandfather bringing something to him as a cover story. Walking into the hospital she stiffened at the smell but spoke with the receptionist who let her inside. Walking down the hall she looked around and asked where Carlisle was the woman said that he was busy but she would tell him that Bree was there. Thanking her she walked over towards the break room she noticed a doctor with a boy and smiled at how she seemed to have a good heart. Continuing inside the break room she sat down and relaxed slowly putting her head on the table. Smelling a hybrid Bree sat up thinking that Nessie had the same idea but didn’t see her instead the woman who had been with the boy and had shown a good heart “Hello” she said and brushed her hair from her golden eyes.
She usually was shy around anyone and even now she wanted to pull back and leave but forced herself to calm down. What she had seen in the hall showed a good person “you did great with that boy…I am sure you made him feel better” a small smile came to her face. She hoped the boy would be okay as she watched her “my name is Bree Cullen it is nice to meet you” she said introducing herself. Her grandfather was well known in the hospital so she had become used to the questions that usually came “nice to meet you” she said as she kept her voice quiet enough. Their hearing was good enough so she had no doubt that she would not be able to hear her voice even at the strength she put into it. Being around humans was better each time that she went around them and now though she noticed it did not make her want to rip out any humans that she came across.
Taking a breath she leaned back and was curious as far as the family had known only five hybrids including Nessie but maybe they were coming out more and more after so many had shown up for Nessie to help against the Volturi. Closing her eyes she relaxed slightly “everything okay?” she asked after a few moments and raised her hand to her own cheek “its not hard on you?” she asked the woman keeping her voice soft and kind. Very few were able to be around blood like Carlisle and she doubted that she would ever be as good as he was…even though that was her goal as she stared at the ground trouble clear in her eyes.

Kai kept on eating her lunch, wondering if this vampire out to get her, or is this vampire friendly. She normaly tries to stay out of sight of vampires, she has never had good memories of them. Kai blinked her eyes as the vampire walked in, so the vampire was a teenager? Kai watched as the vampire walked in and sat down next to her and Kai had part of her lunch half way in her mouth with one of her eyebrows raised in wonder.
Kai tilted her head we the young vampire spoke, Kai then closed her eyes and then said.
“Hello…”
Kai tilted her head again and heard the young vampire spoke again. Kai smiled and then frowned, then Kai said..
“The boy’s mother is deading of cancer, slowly. The only thing I’m able to do is take the pain away, is giving her pain meds. I only wish there was a better way to help her, but there is not and I was just trying to make the boy happy, knowing that his mother only has a few days to live. Thanks for noticing, I normally try to avoid human and other things, part from work.”
Kai then kept on eating her lunch and then heard the say her name, Bree Cullen. Kai smiled and Kai then said.
“Kai Armstrong, But around the hospital I’m called Dr.Armstrong.”
Kai sighed, as her head went back to the memory to her mother. Kai then heard Bree speak again and Kai then looked at Bree and said.
“I was thinking of my mother, how I wish I could have save her from me. She named me in her deading breath. I also have a son, whom I give birth too. He is also is a hybrid like me…”
Kai listened to Bree and then said.
“The blood is not bad to resisted like it used to be. I’m around the age as Carlisle Cullen, maybe a little older. But I look 18.”
Kai smiled and then said, as she looked at Bree.
“The last time I drank human blood when I was just a baby, no need to worry.”

Bree listened as the hybrid spoke curious and nodded sadly “have you thought about perhaps introducing venom into her system and then sucking it out?” she offered quietly and rested her hands inside of her pockets. It was an idea if done right it would heal the woman and also could be sucked out enough where the woman would be fine. Closing her eyes she sighed it was a risk but one that could be worth taking “its not…the easiest choice but food for thought” as she looked away it was easy to tell even she didn’t like it but maybe it was just due to her past. She knew that she would not be able to due to her control being iffy but her grandfather could if the girl could convince her. Staring at the ground she swallowed “sorry it was a bad idea” she admitted and stared at the table.
She often tried to figure out things outside the box that would help people. Making up for what she had done when in the new born army. It was her reasoning that she had been allowed to live to make things right. That she would not be a total loss as a person and could handle the changes that were coming with her life. When she had first been changed she had often found herself confused on how to deal with the smallest of changes such as animal blood which had thrown her for a loop for a few months until she had found a comfort in the new lifestyle that she did not feel like a monster as much as she had at one time. She was glad for the time with her family and now was comfortable enough where she did not worry as much as she had at one time about being killed for the most simple things.
Watching the Hybrid she nodded and smiled lightly “its always nice to meet a new friend” she admitted and smiled. She had been around the Cullen family since she had been brought into the family. Worried about the fact that she was going to somehow slip up and then end up dead by the Volturi’s hand. Now she was slowly spreading her wings to fly as much as possible. Taking a breath she paused and nodded “how long have you worked at the hospital?” she asked curious as she glanced around. The room was empty for the most part as many seemed to not be on break which was always a plus. It was amazing that vampires and hybrids would help people like this and she often enjoyed the thoughts of her grandfather doing what he could to help everyone that came into the hospital…the thought of a second person made her almost giddy they had advantages that others didn’t….. that was when it came to mind “I am sorry…I hope you don’t mind me talking since your on your break and probably wanted to relax” she admitted after a few moments her golden eyes downcast.

Kai listened to Bree Cullen as she spoke, Kai then raised an eyebrow at her as she tilted her head to the side and then said as she looked at Bree.
“Female hybrids to not have vemon….”
Kai sighed as she listened to Bree, yes,it was hard to fight not having to drink human blood, but the more age, the better it gets. Kai then said as she stared at Bree, looking away from her.
“I-I don’t drink human blood. It reminds me of me, I’m half human, I do not like the idea if of drinking human.”
Kai listened again, and then said, as she stared at Bree again.
“It’s okay…”
Kai listened to Bree spoke again, and then Kai placed her hand on the table. Kai nodded her head and then said.
“Yes, it’s nice making new friends.”
Kai smiled as Bree asked her how long she has work in the hospital. Kai stared at Bree again and then said.
“For a couple of months now.”
Kai smiled again, she like talking to someone while she was on her break from work. Kai then frowned when Bree started to talk again and then she said as she blinked at Bree.
“No need to be sorry, It’s alright, I like talking to people, it keeps me calm at some points.”

Bree watched her as she said that hybrids were not venomous and paused “I could donate” she offered it would be like with a snake “all I would need is a container” she admitted and looked down. She would not bite the person as she did not trust her bite. It would be enough if they were able to siphon it out quickly enough would be able to cure her “it is your call…it may buy them some more time” she admitted and gave a small smile. She wanted to help the woman and it showed as she rested her hands inside of her pockets and watched her “I know that it is a big risk” she admitted. If things went wrong the woman could end up being a vampire and then they would have a even bigger problem on their hands. Instead it would just have to take the poison out and then be taken out quickly enough where it would not be a issue…or at least she hoped.
Taking a breath she paused and watched her for a moment and then looked at the table and stared at it. It was days like these that she wished that she could go back and be a human again. To be allowed to live the life that she had wanted so many times but she also knew that it was impossible. Back then she had felt helpless always being the punching bag for her father and then being used as Riley’s toy it had damaged her in some ways and as she looked at the table and cringed but the family had put most of her together again when she had needed it…if she had to pick being human again and losing them or staying a vampire and keeping her new family she knew what she would do which would be stay a vampire. They gave a crap about her and that had meant the world to her on so many levels as she had found a comfort in everyone in the family no matter how short or long she had known them they had always been there.
She had often found herself outside staring at the sky at night at the stars even as a human she would wonder what would be out there. That had changed very little since she had been changed and joined her family. Sometimes she would find a blanket and go onto the roof and stay there until the sun would come up the next morning. Even then it would be one of the most calming things that she would be able to find knowing the simple things in life were often the best when it came down to it she had quickly adjusted to the time that she would be alone as she learned the diet and went through the normal challenges of being on a animal blood diet which at first had been torture to her now seemed to be as normal as breathing was to a human. Now she found herself comforted by those things that now she had a new lease on life and would do everything in her power to make things work…no matter how long or short that her eternal life would be.
