eyes: Cory's eyes are deep set and fairly large. People often call her doe-eyed since her eyes are naturally wide and open. They are sit a bit farther apart than normal, but that enhances their beauty. They betray her emotions, always showing what she is feeling through them. The color is a light green that looks like a very light brown in direct sunlight. On a regular basis, they are covered in a dark line of eyeliner around the very rim and her eyelashes are usually coated with a few layers of mascara. On special occasions, she puts eyeshadow on and the eyeliner on thicker, enhancing her eyes. Most recently she has had to apply a line of concealer under her her lower lid to hide the shadows that lurk there.
hair: During her childhood Corah had dark brown hair, and the color stayed with her until about two years ago. During her senior year of high school, she decided to dye it black and has had it that color ever since. It suits her well, so she sticks with that as her 'natural' color now. It reaches past her shoulders, brushing against the tops of her breasts. Naturally her hair is wavy, and she utilizes this by regularly putting product in to make the waves look more pronounced and billowing. She rarely ever has it up, the only times really being at work or when she is not feeling well.
height: Corah stands at a short 5'2" but she loves her height.
weight: Corah has always been a small girl, and she currently weighs 105 pounds. She keeps her body maintained by going to the gym, and she has lost a few pounds since she came to Forks, as if she needed to.
distinguishing features: Corah's most distinguishing feature would have to be her eyes. With their color and size, they attract attention easily. Another feature that is easily pointed out are her lips. They're a little smaller than average, but their deep pink color and fullness also are unique. Corah has a long scar running down the back of her right arm, from surgery she had to had to get from a car accident. That also is something that makes her recognizable, especially from the back.
general appearance: Corah has been described as a woman one would find in a novel from the Victorian Era. Her frame and features are delicate and very beautiful. That paired with her pale skin and wide, deep set eyes nearly perfect the description. Corah's eyes and lips are usually the first thing that are recognized on her face, which offset her strong cheekbones and nose. Her face is box-shaped and her skin is usually clear. Under times of stress, her skin becomes dry and unhealthy. Her sense of style is unique but she gets compliments on it. She tends to dress in very feminine fabrics, like soft, billowy layers with lace or beading. Although she's not too big on wearing jewelry, she always wears two rings: a black and white cameo ring and a gold ring with an emerald cut opal. She loves wearing heels, and she can be found wearing them when she's not at work. Cory has an hour-glass shaped figure. She is smaller chested, matching her delicate neck and shoulder. Her waist is small, and flows subtly out into her hips and then goes back in thinner at her thighs.
"I will always tell you the truth."

likes: Nature, writing, coffee, her Honda Prius, rain, fog, italian food, traveling, hiking, running, movies, antique shops, the smell of gasoline, museums, her dog bennett, star gazing, riding horses, and spending time with those close to her.
dislikes: Semi-trucks, snow, mexican food, big cities, roller coasters, hospitals, needles, staying up super late, local radio, most country music, cats, thunder storms, tree huggers, bicycles, dishonesty, having her picture taken, double standards, and anything supernatural.
ambitions: To become a successful author. Success to her isn't being famous, but having people enjoy her books. To be a new person once her college is done because she wants to forget about her past and be brand new. To get married and have a family some day, although doesn't realize that she still wants that yet.
abilities: Corah has is really good at giving advice. For some reason she always knows what to say although when it comes to her own life, she doesn't do too well. She can read body language really well, which is an advantage when wanting to know what is going on with someone when they come to her asking for help or just when she is curious about them. Her other 'ability' is that her guesses that she makes about something or someone are usually right. Some would call it luck or even going as far as saying she may be physic, but she says she has very keen sense intuition. She can just tell when things feel...right, and she sticks to what she feels and doesn't let anything sway that feeling.
secrets: Corah actually came to Forks to escape her finacee's death. Her family thought it was just to transfer to college, although her fiancee's death was only six months ago. She has terrible insomnia since her fiancees death. She won't go to the doctors because she doesn't want to go to counseling. She actually had been a ghost writer for the regional newspaper back home, this how she got most of her writing experience.
personality: Since the accident and the move to Forks three months ago, Corah has changed immensley. Always known as someone very outgoing, a genuiune people person, Cory loves meeting new people. This part of her slipped away after the accident as she went into her shell. The move to Forks changed her more than she imaged it would. Being away from the constant reminders of Liam's death, she slowly became healthier. Now her outgoing nature has returned, but she is a little bit withdrawn from all of the attention as she learns how to cope. Corah now feels actually relatively normal when getting to know people, knowing that she's not hiding anything from anyone.
Adding to Corah's ability to make friends of people quickly, she is observant. If you look even the smallest bit sad, she'll probably pick it up. She isn't one to pry, but she'll know somethings up even if you won't admit it. Corah is very compassionate and loyal, going to the ends of the earth for those she cares about. Her compassion is evident when she takes care of her friends, her great concern for them gluing her to your side until the end of eternity. If you need her, she'll be there for you even if that means taking care of you at 3 in the morning. Since the accident, she takes a bit more caution with how close she gets to people, but that never is seen through her outgoing front. People don't really expect her to be as loyal to her friends since she's always making friends, but people really don't take the time to see behind her front.
Corah is extremely defensive and a bit of a spitfire. When people hurts someone she loves, she takes it to heart. If you talk badly about someone she cares about, she will argue with you and try to prove you wrong until you give in. Her defensivness and bad temper whirl together, causing an interesting package to deal with when she's angry. It takes quite a bit for Corah to become pissed off, but when it happens you better watch out. Although she is tolerant of people, she isn't invincible. When she's on one of her rants, she becomes very snarky and sarcastic. She might say something she will regret, but her traces of compassion fade away when she's angry. She is terrified of love now that her fiancee died. Despite her outgoing nature, she completely clams up when she's around guys. It's even worse now that she lost her first love, the one she felt most comfortable with. She hasn't even thought about going on a date since he's died, but Forks is slowly working on her. She misses Liam like nothing else in this world, but her new found suroundings are helping her to move on. Back to her being terrified of love. She becomes nervous when guys even flirt with her, and she couldn't imagine going on a date. The fear deep down inside her comes from her loss of her fiancee, not wanting to go through that pain, and not thinking that anyone is worth that pain.
When Corah is in a relationship with a guy and she feels completely comfortable, she is extremely affectionate. She will do nearly anything for the guy, happy to please him. She becomes more confident in herself, the needy side of herself coming out when she's in a relationship. No matter how brave she comes off as, Corah actually does need someone to need her. She never realized it until she moved to Forks, alone, and felt dissatisfied. Cory tends to beat herself up over the smallest things, and she's her own worst critic. Whenever she messes up, she always analyzes what she did wrong until she realizes it's dumb and moves on. With Liam's death, she really surprised herself by not blaming his death on her. This was the one area she had no control over. So if you see her shaking her head at herself, she's just going over her flaws once again.
"Don't get your family slaughtered for pride."

history:
Corah was born on a balmy fall day in October of 1989 in Cumberland, Maryland. She was the first born of Steven & Norah Jackson, and the young couple couldn't have been more estatic as their beautiful dark hair girl was finally here. The young years of Corah's life weren't without struggle. She was sick more often than she was healthy and the good part of the first year of her life was spent in hospitals. Once Corah's health began to improve, her parents became pregnant with their second child who was born a little after Corah was two years old. Too young to really remember, Corah and her new sister Brielle along with their families moved to Pennsylvania, where their dad got a new teaching position. The years flew by from then to the time the couple's youngest child and only son was born.
By the time Corah was seven years old, it was no question that this little girl was special. Her presence drew people in, mainly because of her outgoing nature. She made friends easily and her parents made the three of their kids very fortunate through out their childhoods by always letting them spend time with their friends, getting to know them outside of school. One of her friends at the time really opened her eyes to a great passion of hers: horse back riding. Her friend's family owned the riding stable in town and after riding the first time, Corah soon began lessons. This helped her gain the responsibility and passion that she would need later in life. Corah was lucky enough to have parents who loved to travel, and she and her siblings always got to go camping and have awesome experiences.
As her childhood melted into her teenage years, Corah itched for freedom as much as any other kid would. She began sneaking out and going to parties, the influence of her newly found friends really making a bad impact on her life. During her sophomore, she cared more about the partying and who she was hanging out with that night than anything else. Her parents finally enforced her to stay in on weekdays and this actually helped her grow out of that trend and into the woman she is today. In her junior year, the family moved once again, this time further north in the state of Pennsylvania. There she met her two best friends, those who completely shaped her into the outgoing and brave person she is today. The three of them, Corah, Lily, and Vee were a lot a like , so much so it was uncanny. Instead of feeling like an outsider, the two made her feel at home there. It was more 'home' than any other place they had moved to.
During her senior year of high school, Corah met Liam, the guy who would change everything. They met through one of her best friend's older brothers. She honestly never imagined she'd connect with someone this well. After graduation, the two of them spent much more time together. As cheesy as it seemed, they completed each other. After six months of dating, the couple moved into Liam's apartment together. Things were rough at first, with Liam going through the drills required for his enrollment in the military, setting Corah on edge. This experience with him being gone a lot really helped build her tolerance and patience towards things she couldn't change. Things got better after that, so much so that Liam proposed to Corah. He took her out to her favorite spot at the local lake and asked her to marry him, she said yes.
With their wedding no time in the immediate future, the couple stayed much the same, just becoming more fond of each other. A roadblock soon fell in their way in June, with Liam's deployment overseas. Corah took this hard, but her bravery as well as her best friends and family pulled her through. When he was gone for five months, Corah woke up suddenly in the middle of the night, feeling something was really wrong. She couldn't shake the eery feeling of it and she jumped when she heard a knock on the door that changed her life. It was a man from the Armory, Liam had died in battle. It was like a bullet hit her, and Corah still remembers how it felt to this day. Corah was haunted by the memories that surrounded her in their apartment.
She would cradle a shirt of his in her arms, but be haunted by being in this place with him being dead. Corah moved out soon after, back in with her parents. The next few months were bad, so bad that she had decided to skip the first semester of college. With the people around her only overwhelmed her when she most needed space, she made the desicion that would change her life for the moment. She found a college, far away from home that appealed to her, the journalism tract was what she had in mind. Corah moved to Forks before Christmas, flying back to see her family for the holiday. She slowly establisIhed herself in her new life, getting a job as a waitress and also helping with the local stable. Corah's parents helped her buy a small, one bedroom house in the woods outside of Forks. She soon was becoming happy again and content with the choices she had made. It was hard juggling two jobs with school and her now expanding social life, but this was the new Corah. No matter what, she was determined to reinvent herself in this new town. It had proved that moving was a wise idea, the new start giving her the ambition to help her achive her new goals she had for her life.

PACHELBEL'S CANON WAS THE MOST DEPRESSING SONG IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW. why in the world would that be? well, if you were attending the wedding of your true love, and you were not the bride, you'd understand. chandler tried, despite her efforts, to get out of coming to the wedding. of course not. her best guy friend, well ex best guy friend and ex lover fully expected her to attend. even when the girl he was marrying was the
CHANDLER WALKED ACROSS THE POWDERY, WHITE SAND AND REACHED THE TENT. all she really cared about now was drinking her troubles away. as soon as the petite girl reached the bar, she grabbed a martini and started drinking on it right away. hopefully she'd find someone to enjoy her hotel room with tonight, too. chandler wasn't a whore, and didn't claim herself to be as such. in situations like these, it helped her feel better. of course, she knew most of the guys that were in attendance at this occasion, so hopefully she would be able to find one without any strings attached. ever since she had been jilted, she had a i could careless attitude about most things. like hooking up. why did it matter to him, or anyone for that matter what she did with her body? besides, chandler knew that he had no right to care about her anymore. he had thrown that gift away the day he started to ignore her. no matter what the circumstances were, she felt drawn to him. the girl would never admit this to anyone, but it was true. even today, with him now a married man. taking a drink of the stiff alcohol in her glass, she grimaced, but dealt with it. it was easier than seeing them together. brushing her curly locks out of her eyes, she glanced around the area. with a brave smile, she got off the chair and stepped back onto the sand. perfect. she saw her man for the night, the groom's brother. usually chandler would find this match a little extreme, but she figured as long as she's going to have some fun, why not get revenge too? once she reached the nearly identical copy of her ex lover, she made small talk. it wasn't hard to talk easily with him, he was easy to talk to, just like his brother.
LATER THAT NIGHT WHEN THE RECEPTION WAS ALMOST OVER, CHANDLER WAS STILL IN THE ARMS OF THE GROOM'S BROTHER. they had been dancing the whole night, and she could feel carson's eyes on her. now that she had downed....who knew how many drinks, she felt on top of the world. she and carson's brother, hell she couldn't even remember his name now, were dancing close, laughing over the smallest of things. as the song ended, chandler wrapped her arm around his torso and looked up at him. "you ready to leave?" she said with a wink. his reply was a laugh and a nod. as chandler went to grab her things, she looked up and saw the couple sitting at their sweetheart table. the bride was busy talking to some girl in a way too short dress, while carson was looking over at them with a hurt look on his face. oh now you want me? too bad, you're already married. chandler just smirked at him before going back to his brother and leaving. ignoring the urge to turn back and look at him, she focused on trying to walk up to the resort's hotel. yeah, it was a bit messed up but hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
