Marshall had found out that one of the former members of the Volturi has managed to get a horse Stable, Marshall himself had managed to get permission to go on a vacation and he was now standing outside the stables staring at the sign that read Dark Water Stables it had been very long time since the last time he had ridden a horse. Since sometime before he joined his coven, he looked at the horses after entering the stable. He went over to pet one because oddly no one was around "you're a beauty." he looked into the Horse's eyes "Whomever cares for you does a very lovely job of it." The horse was trying to chew his pocket off "I have carrot sticks you must be trying to get those." he said as he took them out and held them in his hand for the horse to eat.
He wanted so Much to take thi horse out for a ride, at this moment, but he knew he needed to sign for it. "My name is Marshall. It means Cares for Horses." he whispered to the horse. before he knew it was grooming the horse and he hadn't noticed anyone entering. he was startled when he felt a hand tap his shoulder "sorry, i cared for horses when i was child and my current employer doesn't have any." he said as he turned the face the person he wasn't sure what to expect.
He sighed "If you want me to leave. I will i am not one to get arrested anyway my associates would get mad if i did anything to get in trouble while i am here." he said nervously. "Do you need any love spells. I can help you with that." he said in a low tone so as not to sound weird if this person believed in them but no one else did. He had heard that Lucy Collins lived nearby he would ask about her.

It was a slow day at the stables, and although most of the students were gone, Corah had a lot of work today. Not only did she have to feed and water the horses, she groomed all of them. Not that she minded. It was actually quite relaxing to just focus on a horse like that. She had grown up with horses, and loved them a lot. As she was finishing up on the legs of a black gelding, she thought she heard footsteps. Corah looked up, trying to see if anyone was there. She only shook her head when she saw no one, and continued grooming. About five minute later she patted the horse's mane and smiled, signifying that her job was done.
Now that grooming was over, she had a bit of free time before she would go and exercise one of the student's horses. As she walked back from the tack room, she heard a soft voice. Her eyebrows knit together with curiosity. No one was supposed to be here today except the owners. They did have guest riders at times, but they were supposed to check in with the office. She caught sight of a dark haired man and he was grooming the horse. This made her curiosity peak, and she also was a bit concerned. No, she didn't think he would steal it or anything, he just needed to let her know what he was doing here.
Awkwardly, she tapped him on the shoulder and he spun around, looking nervous. "Sorry, I cared for horses when I was child and my current employer doesn't have any.
" the man said. Corah nodded and ran her fingers over the seem of her breeches. She had changed from her work clothes to her riding clothes since she would be riding for most of the afternoon. He gave her a scare, but she kept her air of professionalism. " That's alright, sir, I just wish you would've checked in at the office. No one's around to day but me, so I apologize for not being able to get to you sooner. " she said with a soft smile. Demetri always liked her friendly nature but she still kept it professional. " If you want me to leave. I will I am not one to get arrested anyway my associates would get mad if I did anything to get in trouble while I am here. " he said, and Corah raised her eyebrows. Why would she kick him out? He had a right to be here, but he did need to let someone know he was here. " That's ridiculous, I'm not going to kick you out or have you get arrested." Corah said, shaking her head with a soft laugh. Demetri might have handeled things differently, but she saw no threat from this man. Corah smiled and patted the horse's soft muzzle. She heard him murmur something softly, but she wasn't sure if it was meant for her to hear. " This is Nikko, he's one of the stable's horses. He seems to like you." she said with a smile, running her hand up to his fetlock. He seemed like he knew horses. Corah took in the man's frame before looking back at the horse and smiled. " Were you looking for someone in particular? Or did you just want to ride?" Corah asked, looking over at him. " I'm Corah, by the way. I'm one of the stable hands here." she said with a friendly smile. She probably looked more like a student, wearing her riding apparel. Her hair was even down since she had forgotten to bring a hair-tie today. It was a bit chilly, and although it might have been a bad idea to wear a sweater over her tank top, but oh well. This may have been an awkward situation but hey, she could at least be hospitable to the stable's guest. This post is 659 words long, and is going to be joined by marshall. He took his sunglasses, and stuck them in the drawstring bag. "It's a pleasure to meet you. You've done a fine job. I grew up raising horses. Horses have always been my favorite animal and the person who raised me, named me Marshall because it means Horse Keeper." he said with a gentle smile "I would like very much to ride. If you would like, afterwards, i can draw something for you. Art is a hobby of mine." he said
He felt at home in the stables "I can tell you care for the horses. They're gentle creatures." he looked at her he wasn't sure what else to say "I will be happy to sign in, before riding, it's been such a long time. I just wanted to see horses." it had been at least 15 years since, the last time, he had seen horses, This woman would be nice to spend time with and the horses. He smiled as he thought about things "Have you ever crossed paths with a young woman, her name is Lucy Mills? She's tall and slender and she has curly blonde hair." he explained and grinned "We met each other when she was coming to Washington. I just wondered how she was doing." he had known the young woman had been lying about her name but her understood, she needed to escape the ghosts of Collinwood.
He grinned and looked at her "I know no one who lives in Forks. I just wanted to ride horses and I needed to get out of Greece for a while." he explained, hoping she didn't wonder about that. he smiled at Corah "It's a pleasure to meet you, Corah." he said with a laugh "Nikko is fine name for the horse. He's a handsome horse." It was nice to be around normal human being, no other witches or vampires. Just the single Human female and the stable full of horses. He took a deep breath savoring the long missed scents of being around horses.
He turned his attention back to Corah, "I am sorry. My mind was wandering again. My mind tends to wander quite often." he said looking at her "I gave nikko a few mini carrots. he was trying to chew the pocket open on my jacket." he laughed. it felt great to be around horses again. "Is there a charge for riding hte horses. I have some money." he said as he looked at her "How long have you worked around horses?" he inquired, he was trying to have a normal conversation it was nice to not have to plot things.Word Count: 400+ Wearing: Outfit

Corah smiled softly at his compliment. She had been around horses long enough to take care of them well, and honestly, she spoiled them. Just like she spoiled her dog, Bennett. On a few occasions she brought him to the stables, mainly for trail rides. He loved the exercise and he didn't bother the horses. Marshall was his name. Ahh, that was familiar to her. Corah swallowed, nodding with a soft smile. "I know someone with Marshall as their middle name." she said, trying to block the memory of when Liam had told her about his middle name. Corah let a surprised smile come across her face, it helping to move her out of her thoughts of the past.
" That'd be really nice, actually.
" She said, appreciating his talent. Corah may have been good at writing, but she always wished she could draw. " Alright, yes, I will need you to sign in." Corah said, the familiar smile coming back. Looking down the aisle of the stable, she knew just the horse for him to ride. Corah pulled a small sign in sheet out of the pocket of her breeches, a handy thing to have for guests when they popped in. She fished a pen out of her pocket as well and handed them to Marshall. " Lucky for you I have a sign up sheet right here. " she said before adjusting her shirt. She looked up at him as he asked about a blonde girl. Corah shook her head as she bit her lip in concentration. " No, I don't think I've met her." Corah said, knowing she would have remembered meeting someone like that. It was rare for someone over the age of thirteen to come into the stables, and the ones that she had met did not fit his description. Corah was intrigued when he mentioned Greece. She wanted to ask why he had been there, but she was not one to pry. " Oh wow, I've always wanted to go there. It looks so beautiful." She said, another reminder of Liam surfacing. They planned on going on a two week honeymoon to Greece after the small wedding. It was easy to deal with the reminders, most of the time. This one, however was not one of those times. " It's nice to meet you too, Marshall. I know, he is a handsome guy." she said with a smile, reaching out to pet his soft muzzle again. Corah moved out of the way as he got out of the stall, getting ready to lead him to his horse. " It's alright, I'm that way too, a lot more than I should be." She said with a soft laugh. It was true. Another laugh came from her, louder this time as it rung through the stables. " Well you certainly did find his soft spot then, he loves when people bring him treats." she said, moving her hand off of his nose and heading down towards the aisle to a stall where a chestnut gelding stood, curiously looking at them. " I've been working with horses ever since I was 15, but I've been around them since I was eight. I did a lot of three day eventing during middle school and high school." Corah said, letting out a soft sigh. She missed eventing and her own horse at home. Corah got the black bridle off of it's hook before grabbing the bit out of the wooden box that held his bit and his grooming supplies. She slid into the stall, patting the horse's neck before sliding the bit into his mouth and putting the bridle over his ears. " This is Vermilion, and if you don't mind, he will be the horse you will be riding today." She said, opening the stall door and leading the tall horse out of his stall. She linked him up to the tie out before grabbing the saddle and saddle pad off the hook and got it on his back. " I'll be right back, I've got to get his girth." Corah said, heading off towards the tack room. When Corah came back, she was holding not only the girth for his saddle but another saddle and bridle set. " I hope you don't mind if I join you, I've got to ride one of our lesson horses for his daily exercise." Corah said with a smile as she tightened the piece of leather. It would be nice to have a riding partner. Maybe he'd even want to go on a trail. Corah moved a few stalls down, slipping in and bridling a dapple gray gelding and bringing him out, doing the same process with the stirrups and girth. " You can pay once we're done, it's pretty cheap."she said with a smile. It was a lot cheaper than back home in PA. She tied her horse up and went over to Vermilion, untying him. Looking over up at him, Corah waited to see if he needed any assistance getting on or anything like that. It would be fun to ride with someone other than the bratty kids who came for lessons. Marshall was glad she hadn't noticed him offering her a love spell, although he sensed that Christopher may have some kind of bond to this young woman "You do very well caring for them, Corah." he smiled at her "After we go for a ride do you recommend a place we can get something to eat?" he asked with side ways grin. A similar grin when he was ordered to lure young ladies to be food for the vampires. He hated being used as bait. and He also had hard time not telling them to run the other way.
He takes the sign in Sheet and fills in the information, he had to think carefully before filling in his age because he knew it would look odd if he put 140 years old. he settled on 23, that seemed believable. "if you meet her she's quite hard to miss. She's just under six feet tall. Slender blue eyes curly blond hair." he said as he described Lucy to Corah he smiled as he listened to Corah talk of working with Horses "You have a way with them they must be your spirit animal. They say a lot of people have a spirit animal." he said
He grinned "Vermillion. A very colorful name." he giggled at his pun as he handed her the clip board. "Sorry if i messed anything up. I will be glad to redo things later." he said he grinned to himself, he wondered what life would be like if witches and warlocks actually carried wands around like in Harry Potter. He did like stories like that at least not everyone thought of witches as evil. "You are welcome to join me. Enjoyable activities are always made a little more so by having company." he said to her "Where are the saddles and reigns?" he asked "unless you have to be the one to saddle the horses since you work here. Just tell me if I am overstepping my boundaries." he said
Sometimes marshall Wondered if he could be just a human again, not have to worry about keeping pointless secrets. Then of course he probably age and die. Hopefully if he ever found his soul mate they would accept him. He had once had a friend he trusted with his secret but that had ended badly. That was just before he had ended up in the Lazarus Coven, his friend had tried to kill him after he had told him the truth. "Anyway having someone to talk to will keep me from endlessly sketching on the notepad i have in my jacket pocket." he said with a giggleWord Count: (minus Coding) 444 Words Outfit: Click

"Thanks. I really try my best. " Corah said with a soft smile. She was glad he noticed, she took pride in making these horses look their very best. Running her fingers through Vermillion's mane, she took in his musky yet sweet scent. For some reason, she had always loved the smell of horses. Although she was currently going to school for journalism, something she was very passionate about, Corah always dreamed of opening her own riding stables. Who knew? She could write books and own a stable. Anything was possible, honestly. Bringing her attention back to Marshall, she thought for a minute. There weren't a lot of places, but she didn't want to go to the lodge. It was bad enough she had to go there and come home smelling like fried food and beer. "Well, there is this little diner just on the edge of town if you'd like to go there."she said, adjusting the saddle for the horse she was riding in her arms.
Corah smiled and nodded, the description matching a girl that came in a few days prior perfectly. "You know, I did see a girl like that coming into the lodge that I work at for dinner one night."she said, recalling the nervous looking blonde who had came in. It was a bit peculiar that she came in alone, and acting a bit panicked but Corah wasn't one to nose around in other people's business. She felt her cheeks burn in appreciation at this comment. People had always told her she had a way with horses, and she couldn't help but believe them. "Well thank you, I think they are too. "she said with a nod. She laughed softly as he handed her the form back, shaking her head. "Oh don't worry, you can't mess these up. " Corah said, glancing over his information.
Corah nodded in agreement with the activites being much more fun when you had someone to join you in them. That was true, and she was more than glad that she was able to finally hang out with some new friends here in Forks. "Well, we don't have very many....experienced riders come in that know how to, so go ahead. " she said handing him the saddle, saddle pad and girth. "Be a bit careful, he likes to kick when you're putting the girth on. " she warned, not wanting him to get injured. She herself had got injured just the past week and that was not fun. It was by one of the less tame horses, but it still wasn't enjoyable. As he worked on saddling the horse, Corah got the saddle on her own horse, glancing over every so often to make sure he wasn't having any troubles.
Once Corah had finished saddling up her horse, she untied him from the standing stall and lead him a bit farther away so she could turn him around. Looking back at Marshall she smiled softly. "You have a way with horses yourself. " she said, petting the horse's neck. It wouldn't be long till they were riding. It was honestly one of Corah's most enjoyable pass times. Once he was done and everything was tight, Corah led them to the dirt aisle between the stalls and the indoor arena. "We can either ride inside in this arena, go outside to the jumping arena or even go on a trail, it's up to you. " she said with a smile. She waited paitently for him before she got on the mounting block and got on the gelding. Due to her short height, she had to always use one. She grabbed the reigns and adjusted them with a smile before looking at Marshall. It was nice to have a riding partner for this afternoon.
