Leah looked at her clock. She hadn't stayed at Jake's house last night, more out of making sure things looked normal to the pack than for any other reason. Leah would have loved nothing more than to have spent last night in Jake's arms, but they were keeping things quiet... for as long as they could until they could figure this whole thing out. Instinctively, Leah's hands moved to her belly where there was a little baby growing inside her. Jake's little baby actually. The thought sent shivers of both joy and fear through her. She loved Jake and now that Chase was gone she didn't really have to worry about him (guilty, guilty guilty her mind screamed at her). There was just the Cullens and that little tic Renesmee to figure out. Jake said he was going to leave the little hybrid, but Leah couldn't help but feel guilty, kind of like a homewrecker for taking him away from his imprint.
Enough. Jeez, Leah, pull your damned self together. She sat up on her bed and looked out the window. It would be time for their pack meeting slash barbeque soon. She needed to get down there and act like the beta she was instead of moping around her room trying to figure out how on earth she was going to hide this thing for much longer. She was going to start showing soon – part of her already thought she could see a little difference, though she noted that she still looked rather attractive and could pull off the bikini she was planning to wear. Hey, she might be pregnant but she wasn't stupid! She was going to utilize all the skimpy clothes she could while she still could. Leah pulled on the lime green and pink string bikini, making sure she didn't look as fat as she felt. She doubted anyone would really notice except Jake, who would probably only know because he knew that she was carrying his baby. She ran a brush through her hair and called down the stairs from her room. “You better not be late!” Leah grabbed a pair of big pink circle sunglasses that had cost her more than her pink pair of flip flops, grabbed her beach bag that held the towels and everything, threw on a loose white shirt over her swim wear, and headed out of the house.
Leah was fast, even in human form and she needed a good jog anyway, so she just ran through the forest surrounding the Clearwater house to the beach. There were a few people gathered there already, but she just gave them a wave and started collecting wood for the bonfire. These things tended to last a really long time. Usually, Leah wouldn't have any problem with that other than the annoying banter between the males, but she found herself incredibly nervous. She left her bag near the place they would put the fire and headed out into the woods to collect the fire-wood.
When she came back there were more people arriving, but she tried to do her best to just ignore them. Sue and Quil know now, she reminded herself. Which sucks. They better be able to keep secrets. She chalked her mom up to that whole mother intuition thing. As far as Leah knew, Seth was still in the dark about it. She didn't know how the hell Quil had found out, but he had. Truthfully, she didn't really trust Quil with the information, but she didn't really have a choice now. She started arranging the wood and then lit the fire, watching the colors that came with having a driftwood fire.

Jake tossed and turned in his sleep. He dreaded having to take naps, but it was best for him. Too much excitement had been going on in the past few days. He had just gotten the news from Leah about there soon to be baby. It didn't bother him much, just the thought of having to break the news to everyone else besides the both of them. Rolling his way out of bed, Jake looked to the clock. He had no idea who was bound to bring anything for the cook out. Picking up his ragged jeans, Jake slipped them on and made his way towards his bedroom door. Billy hadn't been home in day's and he was beginning to miss his own father. It was now that he needed him to talk too.
Hurrying down the stairs, Jake grabbed his keys from the table. Not bothering to toss a shirt on, he basically ran out the door slamming it behind him. Leah would be pissed if he was late again. He knew she hated starting the meeting without him. It just made her uncomfortable. Un-locking the truck doors, Jake made his way around to the drivers side, opening the door and jumping up into it. It was, indeed a long jump, since he decided to put bigger tires on it. It seemed he was always trying to up Sam. He had no use for him anymore. But he did keep him as an acquaintance.
Closing the door, Jake pushed his keys into the ignition and fired it up. The load roar of the engine echoed through the yard. His stacks pushing out a massive amount of black smoke. He was a man, what could he say? He only wanted the best. And plus, it did impress Leah and that was all that mattered. Pushing in the clutch, Jake pulled the stick back into first, ripping a donut in the front yard. "Oh well." He spoke to himself, burning hole-shots in the drive. He knew for a fact Billy would have his ass, but he didn't care.
The wind made its way through his windows, as he laid down on the gas rumbling his pipes. The beach wasn't far from him, but he felt he had the need for speed. It was just the way he was. Reaching up onto his dash, Jake grabbed his aviator sunglasses slipping them onto his face. He could tell this meeting was going to be a hectic one. Seth was leaving for college, or so he thought. And Quil, well, he was just going his own way from the pack. It didn't really bother Jake that much anymore. He was beginning to get fed up with half the stunts his pack pulled.
Pulling down the road to the beach, he noticed a few people already there. Off to his right, he had also seen Leah's car. His eyes lit up as he drove over to park next to it. Clearing his throat, Jake pulled up next to Leah's car and pushed in the clutch to park it. He knew for a fact he had to act like his usual self around Leah. If he didn't, the pack was sure to find out what was going on between them two. Opening the door, Jake jumped out. There, Leah stood not to far in front of him. The urge to hold her was creeping through him, but he had to hold back. He would see her later possibly. If she would come around.

You wish you may, wish you might Don't you worry hold on tight..
Tonight was a pack meeting. Kelly's first since she became a member of the pack. Kelly was very excited, but also scared as hell. She did not really have a clue how these things worked at all. But from what she was told she should pack some extra clothes and all that good stuff. Because apparently they were going swimming. Seriously? Th water better be warm....she thought. She also was told these things last awhile, and that they would be eating. So she should bring food. Food? Her house was stocked with junk food, having 6 siblings does have its benefits. Kelly was upstairs in the the bathroom that was connected to the room she shared with her sisters. She was debating whether or not to wear make-up. Which was quite silly. But she decided in the end to throw on some water proof eyeliner and mascara just for the heck of it. As for her hair, she was letting it flow loose. She also had another reason to be excited, she was wearing a new monokini she had bought a few weeks earlier. Over it she wore light blue tank and some denim shorts. She also wore some sneakers. She had a pair of flip flops in her bag for later if she wanted them.
The only despressing thing on her mind was all her family issues. Her mother was not pleased when she found out she was really going to th beach for a pack meeting. Her grandmother was pissed she was a shifter, let alone the fact she was headed for a meeting. And her father...well, he was actually happy. Before Kelly shifted, he was the only person in the immediate family to ever had been a shifter. Kelly's uncles and her cousins shifted, but she rarely saw them. So in a way to describe Kelly's position in the family, she was a blessed nuisance. Good she happened, but also bad for what she was.
Walking downstairs, Kelly ran into her mother "Are you heading to that "party", Kel?" she had asked her. "You know very well that I am." she had replied. "I wish you were not going." her mother told her. "I sort of have to." she said coldly, walking out the door. Kelly really did not own a car, she drove her dad's truck. And on certain occasions, the family van. She did not have the time, let alone the money, to go and buy a car. PLus, she liked her Dad's truck. If it broke, she did not have to pay and fix it. Driving down th road on her way to the beach, she saw cars parked one after another. She could pick out a few as some of the members of the packs' cars. But the one that stood out was Jacob's, so she knew he had beat her here. "Aw hell..." she swore. If he was here the meeting might have already started.
Kelly quickly found a parking space and hopped out of the car with her stuff. She had brought a few packs of hotdogs and a couple cans of chips just to make sure everyone got their fill. Knowing men, there was going to be a food massacre tonight. As she walked she spotted Leah and Jacob was within her peripheral vision. But she wanted to hang with Leah some more. Get to know her. "Hey Leah!" she said with a smile while walking up to her.

Leaving Lucy’s house he kissed her goodbye and rested his hand on her stomach feeling where his child was growing and smiled “I will see you in a bit” he grabbed his swimsuit that he had hung and tied everything up behind the bushes and shifted taking off towards where they were to meet. He was glad as it had been awhile since he had been to a meeting as they were still small in group size when they had started but with 3 new wolves things were looking up as he got near he could smell Jake, Leah and the new wolf and shifted to human form as he walked up to them after getting dressed and smiled “hey guys” he said softly. He looked better then he had in awhile since he was sleeping better then he had in the past few months among other things.
Leaning against a tree he watched them for a few moments. He had to admit that he had missed Leah as he did not see her as much as he would have liked to since the argument a few weeks back he had been talking with her but even then it was hard to take back words that he knew hurt her as much as he had then sometimes it just took time and hoped that things would come together in the end. His eyes stayed on his sister for a moment he was tempted to walk over and hug her but paused deciding it may not be the best idea at the moment as he tilted his head to the side and took a breath “how is everyone?’ he asked after a few moments his eyes soft as he found a place to sit down and relax. They had all come a long way since this had started from new wolves that didn’t know anything to a strong pack that was able to hold their own when it got worse “its been awhile since we all got together” he admitted and sighed quietly.

Lucy waved as Seth left for the Pack Meeting, she understood she needed to stay home. She just wished Leah would stop being a raging nut bag. Oh Well all that Mattered was Seth's Opinion and Her family.
Quil was always a little nervous when the Bon Fires involved the elders, because his granddad, Quil Ateara The Third was one of the elders. He had helped his grandfather get in the car as they drove down to the beach where the Bon Fire was going to be. He looks at around "Hey Seth, How is Lucy doing?" he said high fiving Seth.
He looked at Kelly "Hey Newbie it's nice to have another girl in the pack. I am Quil." he said offering his hand for her to shake, He helps his granddad sit down "Sorry guys since you said Elders granddad wanted to come to. He's been sick so he's a little wobbly." wonces a little as his granddad thumps him on the head with his cane "What I said wobbly not weak and old." gets thumped again. "Sorry Granddad. Kelly this is my grandfather he;s he's one of the tribal Elders, Quil Atera The Third. Grandad this is Kelly. You know everyone else." He lookes at Leah "No Laughing, Please.." he rubbed his head.
Old Quil "Really Young man. When i was shifter i was more respectful around people. Leah, how are you doing young woman, you are the first female Beta in the history of our tribe." he said looking at he young woman. He was feiuisty old man he knew mentioning that to Leah might annoy the young woman.
As his grandfather Spoke, Quil slowly worked his way to position where he wasn't sitting close to the man so he wouldn't get whacked again "does this bon fire have purpose or is Leah just wanting to be bossy with Jake's Permission." he said with nervous laughter. He sat down, his respooinse was to grab a beer like hte older guys did, but he saw his grandfather staring at him through the crackling flames of the bonfire and grabbed a soda instead, "Granddad, would you like some water?" his grandfather nodded and he took a bottle of water out of the ice chest. In low tone he knew they could see "Are you sure this is the best time? I would rather just discuss it with the Elders and not to all the pack members."
Old Quil looked at his grandson "Young Man it's not like you;re runnig away to join a circus. You just intend to do something more than just being pack member. I know you were discussing it with Chief Swan. So you at least owe Leah and Jake and explanation before you do it, Young Quil." He draped his old arm around the younger man's shoulder.
The younger one could feel the tones muscles in his grandfather's arm. he knew if the man hadn't too old he would be in the Pack too. then of course, his friends were all gone he was the last of his Pack, as far as the younger Ateara knew "Granddad? How come you left it for me to discover that your wife was Related to Charlie Swan."
The Older man looked at him "Because sometimes to find the truth of ones existance you need to be allowed to find it on your own." the truth was he had completely forgotten Molly's Maiden Name was Swan. He looked at his grandson "Would you take me to the Cemetary tomorrow? I feel like visitting her grave." he said with slightly sad tone to his voice. She had been the love of his life. It seemed like such a long time ago and also not very long ago she had passed.
Quil looked at his grandfather "Sure granddad, Dad and Mom are out of town for the weekend and they told me to do whatever you asked me to." he said with a smile. he hadn't realized he had been sitting next to his grandfather "Forgive me if i ever do anything that upsets you. My friends and i have different way of thinking from yours." he said with a smile and they sat and waited for the Meeting to start. He was glad he had told his grandfather he had been thinking about training to be Charlie's Deputy. He got up and got some snacks for himself and his granddad.
