Renesmee gave a small nod, holding his hand trying to reasure herself. "I know." She said, glancing up at her father. She didn't want to be worried but this wasn't fun. They were both soaked, it was storming, a lion had tried to kill them moments ago, and her dad had looked like he was going to loose control unless he got some blood, so maybe it was good that the lion came... but still...
This wasn't turning out to be the day she had wanted it to be. It was... scary. She missed mommy, and Jacob. She wanted to be inside where it was warm, where her family was, she'd even be happy about going to bed right now. She just wanted to go home now.
"How much farther is the car?" She asked nervously. She hoped it was close. She couldn't remember how far it was. She tried to smell it but she couldn't pick up any scents with the heavy rainfall. She hated the rain... today. Any other day she did but today she didn't like it, she didn't like any of it.

"I know." "How much farther is the car?" He looked around at where they were...He honestly had no idea which way they had gone too. That was when he started to get slightly worried. The rain was making it hard for even a vampire to recognize where he was. No...They weren't lost. They couldn't be lost. He knew exactly where they were. He looked over and around for any familiar signs and there was finally one spotted and he sighed heavily as the rain fell on his face..."We're not far honey....I promise..." He grasped her hand in his and led her now through the forest that was once full of life was now nothing but a scary place to be. He knew Nessie was terrified. He hated seeing that fear in her eyes...As they moved onward he walked carefully....As he let her walk a bit behind him...so if any thing were to happen, it would happen to him first. He was so frightened that some thing would happen to her that he put his own life on the line for her. He loved her that much.
If he was distracted for even a moment he could end up having her get hurt or him. And he has come close with that mountain lion earlier. At least that gave him a good meal...The last thing he wanted was to be with his daughter, thirsty and no way possible to have nourishment. He had not slipped in a very long time and he was trying to keep it that way. He had a family to keep together and he was not going to mess that up. As he walked on however mother nature wanted to play again with him...As he looked up at a slippery mud slide that was their way out of the woods and up on the main hight way..."Okay sweetie....Get on my back..." He said softly....He knew it might be a big hill to climb up to...Everything was slippery and wet...and this was a very dangerous task for just a mere human...Even for a vampire with a hybird daughter to keep alive. "Hold on tight to me as tight as you can alright darling?!" He ordered with a firm but loving voice....
That was when he bent his legs and leaped up on the side of the cliff...It was easier getting up and down when it was not raining and mud and rocks were not falling down from it...He grabbed a good spot to grab and kept there for a moment...His shoes were not exactly meant to be for climbing he was slipping slightly with every easy step up ward he took...He would be up the cliff in a heart beat if by himself....But he had to be careful with his daughter hanging on the back of him as tight as she could...He looked up as the rain fell and drops hit in his eyes making it slightly impossible to look up...As he had to lower his head every now and then and shake the water away as much as he could...He then slipped as he started to grab at another spot..And he slid more this time...."Damn it! Hold on sweetie!!" He knew that this was probably the worse thing he could get his daughter in to....But it was the quickest way to the car...And he had to get her out of this weather and soon.....

With a look of hope in her eyes, Rensmee nodded. The car was close? Yay! It was a relieving thought. She couldn't smell anything in this rain and it frightened her not knowing how much longer they'd be in it. So knowing that their transportation out of here was close helped Renesmee to try and relax herself. Take deep breathes. Loosen her muscles. She tried to relax. To think positive thoughts. To know that they'd be home real soon.
Walking a little ways behind daddy, Renesmee followed him. Usually, she'd be nervous that he was infront. Enough to protest about it. But right now Renesmee was afraid. She couldn't remember the last time she felt like this, maybe when the threat of the Volturi hung in the air... but right now her mind was clouded with that fear, so much that it kept her silent, not that that was a huge difference from any other time of the day. But she wasn't even using her power to communicate. For once she was silent.
Looking up to her father as she heard him talk, she nodded her okay. His voice was firm, it made new thoughts of fear prick at her heart but she didn't voice them. Taking a small breathe she nodded. Hold on... Hold on... E-easy, right?
Climbing up onto his back, Renesmee wrapped her arms around his neck, not tight enough to hurt him but enoguh so that she wouldn't loose her grip.
At the leap up, Renesmee's eyes squeezed shut. She didn't want to see this. If something went wrong she, she didn't want to see what would happen. But even so, she felt them move downwards, as if slipping. And then her father shouted the words hold on. Something was wrong.
With a small whine, Renesmee's head burried into her father's back, keeping her hold as firm as she could.
