Jane groaned as she woke up having been out for hours after being taken when she had been…somewhere she didn’t remember where at the moment and sat up. Her head was pounding and she was confused for a moment before she realized where she was…home. She thought as she slowly started to get up but instantly regretted it as she stumbled and collapsed to her knees. What had happened to her she thought as she glanced around it was her room at the castle exactly as she remembered it. Slowly she got to her feet again feeling dizzy and slowly sat down on her bed again waiting for it to pass. Laying there she didn’t notice one thing…she was in the wrong castle and that she had been kidnapped. She was out of it as the headache passed and she got up again walking to her closet and pulling out the pure white cloak that was her size and slid it on.
Walking to the mirror she looked into it and sighed her hair was a mess and brushed it before tying it back into the usual pony tail as she shook her head unable to shake the feeling in her that something was wrong. She spent the next few moments just sitting there and shook it off just like that the feeling was gone. Humming quietly she paused and reached into her bag that had been set next to were she was and grabbed her Ipod that she had found in town awhile back off some human that she had drained. Already she could hear people walking down the way talking about a new arrival and perked up slightly at that not realizing who it was she got up and walked to the door and tried to open it but it was locked…not wanting to ruin the door yet she sighed “why is this door locked?” she snapped sounding a bit like her old self “let me out my name is Jane Thomas and I will NOT accept this” that name brought a nag to her head but was gone quickly.
Walking over she sat down on her bed when she didn’t hear someone coming to unlock her damn door she laid down and put her head on the pillow “damn it what is taking them so long” she muttered annoyed. She would give them hell later when it came to it that they’re was no reason that she should have to stay in her room she had done nothing wrong to cause herself to be a prisoner hearing the door being unlocked she sat up “about time” she growled sounding close…the anger was there it had not faded “let me the hell out of here before I rip whoever decided to lock me in here head off” she said as she started to stand ready to greet the person not to nicely that came through the door.
(it will be explained what happened don’t worry)

Deceit is a lie That wears a smile
Liana had set out on her mission and succeeded a lot more than she had thought possible. Or so that was what Christopher and Vincent kept saying. She, herself, couldn’t be sure. She had done quite a detailed job on the Volturi’s head. That was true and obvious, but the girl had passed out from the extent of it. Vampire didn’t sleep. That much was true, but the brain could shut down in some way. Lia had rewired the woman a great deal, and her brain couldn’t handle such a quick and calculated change. Lia wouldn’t know the extent of the damage until the girl woke up and interacted. Did this mean Lia cared in any particular way? Not really.
Lia had been ordered to bring her to their side and erase anything about the Volturi in the process. If Lia messed up in any way, she could render the girl useless. In that situation, Jane would be killed and Lia would more than likely be reprimanded for her carelessness. Even if she screwed up fractional, it could bring about a disastrous end. If she had missed the tiniest thing in her head that gave her the slightest inkling of her past life, all of Lia’s hard work could be reverted. That was the reason she was immediately locked up in her quarters upon her arrival to the castle. To give everyone time to gossip and get used to the girl while her mind reset itself around the replacement memories Lia had given her in place of the ones she had taken from her.
Lia didn’t deter any of the gossiping until she heard Jane yelling about being locked up. Sighing, she went off to everyone off telling to end the gossip inside the castle and why they couldn't say anything about Jane's arrival. They all knew her powers. So when she told them to shut up, they did regardless if they wanted to or not. Still, she didn't go to free her until Christopher told her she could. When she finally did, she was unperturbed by Jane's acerbic greeting.
"Sorry, Jane," she said, grabbing her by the shoulders and immediately entering her head to erase the fact her door was locked. She replaced that it was merely jammed and was now fixed. "They worked as fast as they could. It's been a busy day."

Jane watched as the door opened and saw Lia “Lia?” she asked after a few moments unsure. Her mind was already a mess or felt like it was about to explode. Closing her eyes she tried to relax but could feel the woman coming near her “don’t touch me” she snapped. She didn’t know why but it bothered her. All she heard was an apology and her eyes snapped open and she sat up turning towards her and started to summon her power to shoot it at her but the touch came first and she screamed grabbing the sheets as her mind was invaded and passed out once more. Wrecked by pain as the woman entered she struggled on the bed thrashing for a moment before going completely still instead giving a whimper as her head was invaded. It was the second time that day and already her mind was weak from the first assault the second was easily enough and she gave way. As she had fallen her head had landed on Lia’s lap and stayed there as her whole body convulsed on the bed briefly.
She didn’t wake up for almost an hour her eyes fluttered open cringing “wh…what happened?” she asked her voice sounding odd even to herself. Her head was pounding again and she cringed in pain resting her head against her hand quietly and kept her head against Lia’s lap for some reason. She seemed frustrated but almost weak and tired “I…I wanted to do something” she seemed confused but dropped it instead she looked up at Lia and sighed quietly “its fine…mistakes happen I guess” she muttered. She hated this feeling that she was missing something…that it was missing. Trying to sit up she found herself dizzy and collapsed against Lia again “I…something’s wrong” she muttered unsure of what but she could barely think at the moment as she thought of trying again but instead leaned her head against Lia she didn’t know why but…it felt comfortable there and right in some way or another. She was frustrated and it showed as she just stayed there seeming venerable for the moment.
Waiting for the pain to vanish she closed her eyes and sighed “I never said this before…but you remind me of someone” she muttered unable to realize who or what and dropped it “it is probably nothing just some coincidence…to long ago” she muttered. Resting her hands against the bed she finally managed to stand up though she seemed almost ready to collapse again to the ground. Pausing she walked over and looked into the mirror “just need to feed…want to go for a walk?” she asked after a few seconds. She felt a pull towards Lia that she could not explain as she glanced back at her. Closing her eyes she paused “my head is feeling better at least…just need some new blood” she muttered thinking that had to be the reason why.

Deceit is a lie That wears a smile
It was easy to get into the other female’s head, easier than the first time. Then again that was how it always worked. The first entrance broke the natural barriers. If left untouched after that time they could mend themselves. However, entering the mind before the barriers had the chance to heal, weakened them. Sometimes, the damage could be permanent. Lia hated that part of her gift. She had never liked causing lasting damage on anyone. It just wasn't in her personality.
What Lia did in the head wasn't really a painful process. It only turned painful if it was fought against, whether subconciously or on purpose. In all honesty, Lia tried to make it as bareable for the other person as possible. She relaxed only when she finally got in and was able to alter the memories in question. When Jane "passed out" on her, Lia completely locked up. She didn't know what to do. She wasn't the warm and fuzzy type. She barely let anyone close to her. The only exceptions had been her sister and Vincent. No one else could get under her skin and root themselves to her.
So why couldn't she bring herself to leave Jane's room?
The answer was unclear to Lia, but still, she sat there with the smaller vampire and waited for the woman to wake up. When she finally did, Lia watched her get her bearings straightened. She felt bad for her victims. The confusion and uncertainty must be so difficult to deal with. She didn't comfort the girl though. She wasn't sure how to. It wasn't something she did often. She just let the girl talk, feeling quite awkward. When she voiced that Lia looked like someone she might have known, Lia was shocked nearly stupid. She didn't bother to find a reply to that though. She just let the girl talk.
“just need to feed…want to go for a walk?"
"Of course, let me just get my cloak and let Christopher know we're gonna roam for a bit in case he needs us," she said.
She got to her feet and left the room quickly. She stopped over to where Chris usually could be found first, and told him she was going to check out things at her club and that she would have Jane with her. It was true after Lia's mental assault the girl needed some blood in her system. Then she headed back to Jane's room, stopping at hers to grab her white cloak. Then she returned to Jane.
"Ready to go?" she asked.

Watching her go she smiled slightly and walked to her mirror and looked back sighing. She couldn’t put her mind to it but as she looked around and it dawned on her…pink the room was freaking pink she HATED pink. Shaking her head she tried to put together things but only got a pounding head in response. Making a note to talk to Chris later she paused and rested her hands to the counter and paused as she heard the footsteps she opened the door and stepped outside thinking it was Lia but saw someone else they stopped and stared at her making her frown at the words…new girl someone new was at the castle and they would not stop staring then something snapped in her “what the hell are you looking at?” she asked and turned her power on full blast the female vampire dropped immediately screaming his head off a cruel smile came to her lips “I told you to leave…now will you?” she asked as the vampire screamed the companion nodded and she turned her power off and watched as the two ran.
Frowning she realized she didn’t know Lia’s scent but something jarred there…a vampire who could make all things change including scents that was what was why… or at least that’s what her memories were telling her. Leaning against the wall she waited until she saw Lia and gave a nod “so whose the new girl?” she asked after a few moments. They were growing every day it seemed as she rested her hands inside of her pockets and leaned her head back “some of the people around here act a bit…odd” she admitted. They had acted like they had never seen her before and the look bothered her as she closed her eyes “its probably nothing…” she admitted dismissing it with a wave of her hand “come on” giving her a slight smile she wandered down the halls going by the false memories that had been put in her head “I love the cold weather…it should be a fun night” smiling she stepped outside and let the wind blow her cloak slightly.
Walking down the streets she paused “any thoughts on where you have in mind?” she asked after a few moments. She had just wanted to find someone to snack on…her whole body felt weak but she still held herself well “thanks for…coming I didn’t want to be alone tonight” she admitted as she walked slowly down the way and spotted a few humans and smiled slightly licking her lips involuntarily “you want to go first or me?” she asked after a few moments keeping her voice quiet. They would have to time things right and not be to close otherwise attention to themselves and would cause issue bringing the wrath of the others on them which was always a good thing to avoid in her eyes. Closing her eyes she relaxed slowly glad that she had come out the fresh air was making her feel slightly better as the headache faded “Lia?” she asked after a few moments a sigh escaping her lips “you okay?” she asked after a few moments.
She still couldn’t shake that she thought Lia looked like someone she knew. A pulling feeling was there that was odd something was…pulling her towards her. She had never fallen in love finding it a waste and yet…yet she found herself always looking at Lia…could she have fallen for the female vampire and that was causing her to…gyrate towards her. Even without thinking she had moved closer to her and stayed by her side. It was more a side effect then anything she was still out of it and Lia seemed to be the only anchor that was holding her there. Watching Lia with interest …like a cat watches its pray she debated how to go with this would she kiss the woman and see what would happen or just come out and say it…that the pulling that she felt towards her…she was thinking that she had fallen in love with her. Pausing she stopped “wait” she said after a few moments taking a step forward.

Deceit is a lie That wears a smile
Lia sighed as she heard the scream as she headed back to Jane’s room. The source of the sound was coming from that direction. She picked up her pace as the scream stopped, but by the time she got there it was only Jane in the hallway. She looked around but the hall seemed empty aside from her and Jane. Her gaze turned to the girl and studied her expression. It didn’t appear that whatever mess had occurred ruined the memory modifications so she let it go and led the way out of the castle.
She stiffened slightly as Jane asked about the new arrival. She hated that question. It usually popped up at least once from the ones like Jane. Every time she hadn’t had to be the one to answer. Her mate usually did it for her, but he wasn’t there. She had never been the type who could come up with a plausible lie that no one would question. Instead, she merely shrugged.
However, that was all it took and suddenly Lia was no longer content. In fact, when she stepped out into the night air, she found it far colder than she should have. Wrapping her arms around herself, she looked around half-heartedly. She alone and it was finally sinking in. Vincent had been gone for a month. She was used to a week or two but a month? This was new to her, and she wasn’t handling it well at all.
She paused to look at Jane as she spoke. No, she wasn’t okay! She missed her husband. She wanted him home, but she couldn’t tell Jane that. There was really no point. He would still be away. So instead, she just grinned a little and nodded.
“I was thinking we could go hunt outside the city and then on the back I need to stop Infinity and make sure I’m not needed tonight ,” she said. “How does that sound?” She paused in mid-stride as the other woman told her to wait. “Yes? What’s wrong?”

Feeling the wind on her face made her feel better instantly as she relaxed slightly. Even now though she glanced at Lia no it was not love she was sure of it….it was something else that she could not put her finger on it as she rested her hands inside of her pockets and glanced around as she sighed “never mind” she admitted. It was pointless to say it anyway she had been mistaken when she had thought that maybe it was due to her never really feeling close to anyone in particular in her long life. She had always been alone until the pure ones had found and saved her from being burned at the stake by cruel villagers. Keeping her head down she could feel peoples eyes on hers as she had left the castle but ignored them she was used to it by now though it still annoyed her as much as anyone else that she knew.
Nodding when she said about going outside of the castle she smiled “sounds good…the wind feels better then I thought I would” she admitted with a small shrug and brushed her hair from her eyes and started towards the outskirts “you miss him don’t you?” she asked after a few moments “Vincent I mean” she admitted and looked at her. She could see something in Lia’s eyes that she was not happy with something and she tried to understand it and reach out somewhat “I see people they seem like they are happy with their…mates…I just don’t understand how you can put so much faith in a person they could just as easily turn on you and then what happens your screwed…” she admitted. It was her personal feelings coming to the surface slowly. It was frustrating that people could put so much trust into someone else in the end they would all end up weaker no matter how you looked at it she didn’t see the point maybe that was why she didn’t bother to find someone that she trusted with her life…but she was trying to understand that was why she kept her eyes on Lia.
She had never been known for her patience and it showed even now with things. As they got to the outside she spotted a human and gave a nod making a move. The human was grounded quickly “take this one” she offered and handed the small human to her. Usually she was not a giving person but she could feel some bond there and was in a good mood when it came down to it. Taking a breath she glanced around and saw a small human heading towards town a child she thought and gave a shrug beggars could not be choicers as she dashed across and grabbed a hold and came back dragging a struggling child whose eyes were wide “bottoms up” she muttered and bit into the child whose whole body went stiff as she drained them the struggles becoming weaker and weaker as the seconds passed.
