Edward's skin is a pale color, like most vampires, that is as hard as marble. He has a nice body overall, though next to his brothers he seems very small and lanky. He is very tall standing at six foot two inches. His hair and eyes are the two things that stand out most on him besides his paleness. He dresses accordingly and never raveling. His attire is every meaning of the word mature.

At the first meeting of Edward Cullen, he appears to be very cold and reserved. He is not exactly 'out going', although he isn't shy at all. He is very open once he gets to know someone, or if that person is some of the few choice people that he loves.

Edward can still be quite reserved with his emotions. Since he can read minds he is afraid to let people know what he's feeling. This is because of the horrible thoughts he has heard over his many years. Jasper, being a emotion manipulator, can easily tell Edward emotion. Jasper is the only one who can know what Edward is feeling and not be too uncomfortable about it. With Bella, he can feel more at ease with himself. This adds into his mysteriousness.

Edward is usually described as brooding and stubborn, but also very kind and compassionate. his wife also describes him as charming, polite, and determined. His stubbornness causes him to set his mind and not easily persuade otherwise. His determined trait plays well into that as well.

Family is the most important thing in his eyes. Bella and Renesmee mean the absolute world to him. He wouldn't hesitate to put his life on the line for them; even his other family he's overly protective. He often over analyzes situations and has a tendency to overreact. Especially when Bella or Renesmee is involved.

Although Edward can be quiet reserved he can be humorous. He see's no hard in a few jokes or a little fun. He even loves to play with his daughter, Nessie.

He is extremely supportive as well. When he see's a good plan or thought of someone he encourages them to go forth.

Edward was born on June 20, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. He doesn't remember it very well but he grew up in an old-fashioned family life style. He wanted to join the army during World War One while he was growing up, however, the love of his mother was holding him back. This changed when he and his parents became sick from the Spanish Influenza in 1918. Edward Masen Sr., his father, died. Before she died, Elizabeth Masen, begged the doctor , Dr. Carlisle Cullen, to do anything in his power to save her beloved son .

Dr. Carlisle acted on her wishes when Edward was near death. He took Edward from the hospital, brought him to his house, and there turned him into a vampire.

Edward was rebellious at the beginning of his vampire life. He left Carlisle and Esme. During his alone time, he used his mind reading ability to attack the worst people. In his mind, he was serving justice and it didn't matter that he was feeding on humans.

A few years later, he regretted his way of living and returned to Carlisle's way of life of drinking animal blood. Years passed, and their family continued to grow. He loved each one like a brother or sister, but felt almost lonely because all of his family had a mate. He didn't think to much into this, and took up the skill of music.The piano mostly...it is his favorite.

When they came to rest in Forks, Washington, he met a girl. Isabella Swan, a normal human girl with the gift to block his mind reading power. This scared Edward, although he found it utterly relieving. She was someone he didn't have to block their thoughts. She was beautiful, and smart, even for a human. But before these feelings got to him, there was something else. He wanted her blood more than anything else. He tried his hardest to stay away from her, but the feelings of love were already there. For a vampire, a mate was so much more than a humans spouse. He couldn't, and through all of the heartbreak and horrible stuff that happened, Bella became his wife. And from there, the mother of his child.

Jacob Black imprinted on his daughter which he was not happy about. Although he's not happy with it he understands with him Nessie is safe. He is her protector.
