The air was slightly misty, laying small drops of dew upon his soft colored coat. This was the kind of weather he had enjoyed getting out in. Nothing made him feel more at ease with himself like the after affects of rain. Raising his snout to the air, he took in a deep breath and began heading north; There he would have his own time and space to relax and enjoy himself in wolf form. Kicking up some loose gravel, Jacob took off towards the woods. It would have been stupid of him if he decided to take the highway.
The intense breeze began to dry his coat out, making it soft to the touch. He knew Renesmee had enjoyed him in his wolf-form more than anyone he was acquainted with. It made her happy; And nothing could make him feel as good as she had already did. Ducking under a few broken limbs, Jake found himself coming up to the cliffs. Bringing one paw back, he came to a haltering stop. A grin smeared across his muzzle as he walked slowly to the edge.
The smell of the fresh lake water sent him into somewhat of a trance. He wanted more than ever to jump off and enjoy himself in human form; but that would be the cause of him getting nude and that wasn't about to happen. Jake didn't know who all had came around those parts this time of the evening. Letting out a relieving sight, Jake sat himself down at the very edge, hanging one leg over. The small sprinkles from the waves made their way clear up to him, Splashing his foot a bit.
Thoughts stormed through his mind about Nessie. He knew, in fact, she was only 8 years old, but the love he had for her was unbearable. He hated being away. But then, Bella was uneasy about him even being around that often. The whole keeping him hush, hush as a family member tore his gut to pieces. He me was no family member. The last time he checked he didn't have blood sucker running through his veins. And he was still pumping blood. But he couldn't say that. After all, Renesmee was one of them also. Yet, only half.
Getting back to his feet, Jake began to stretch. A massive yawn escaped his mouth followed by a light growl. Breathing back in, he caught a smell of something very familiar, yet a little strange. But being as alert as he was, Jake stood guard. His teeth showing, and ready; His guard hair all askew. It was in his blood to be ready for attacks. --word count- 400+-- --Music- Blackhack- Every once in a while--

She really couldn’t take it. There was just too much going on right now. Seth wanted to go away to college, which would be fine if it wasn’t in another effing state. She’d imprinted on Jace, but that hadn’t take away the feelings she had for Sam and Jake, it just made them slightly easier to live with. Her mind was a complete mess. At one time, she would have given anything to have an imprint. She had envied Sam and Jake, and all the others who had one, even if they were in their child years. She thought having an imprint would make her life complete. Instead, it just made her life more complicated. And the Seth thing was just getting worse. Leah was afraid that she might lose her brother if she didn’t act soon, but she refused to command him to stay. She’d already used her Beta voice on him to make him stop shifting so she could talk to him and he’d reacted horribly to that, but what other choice had Leah had?
Leah ran her hands through her hair in frustration. She had to get out of this house. But what the hell was she going to do? It wasn’t like she had tons of friends that she could hang out with. She rolled out of bed and looked at herself in the mirror. An eyebrow perked up in an arch as she eyed herself. She was wearing just a blue bra and panties because it was just more comfortable to sleep that way. With Leah, less was better. It didn’t help that this stupid wolf part of her gave her a fever that could rival someone with the swine flu. At least she looked good without clothes, she wasn’t going to deny that, but she wasn’t going to flaunt herself in front of the guys either. It was just awkward when you were in a pack full of men.
The werewolf ran a brush through her hair and looked out her window. She wasn’t on patrol until later tonight, so she had a lot of time to just burn. She thought about going to see Jace, but that would just make her more confused. She was afraid of getting close, though she wouldn’t admit it. She had imprinted. If Jace wanted to leave, that was completely up to him, and part of her was afraid that if she got too close, he’d want to do just that - leave.
Without another thought Leah undressed and wrapped a towel around her, walked outside and then hung the towel on a tree branch before shifting. She tried to keep her mind blank, but when she hit the forest near the cliffs, she knew she wasn’t alone. And Jake was close. She hadn’t been paying attention to whether anyone was around her, she’d tried so hard to keep her mind blank and in her own world.
“Just chill, Jake.” she thought directly to him, though that wasn’t necessary because he’d be able to hear her thoughts. That thought made her wonder if he’d heard in her mind that she had liked him for some time. Well crap, he did now if he was paying attention. Maybe he wasn’t. “It’s just me.” Her small, grey, wolf body emerged from the trees to look out at the ocean from the edge of the cliff.

Jake heard rustling of the bushes from a quarter of a mile away. Easing off, he sat back down, tilting his head slightly to the side. “Just chill, Jake.” The assuring thoughts of Leah carried through. Obviously there was nothing to fear. After all, it was only Leah. Letting loose a small whimper, Jacob picked himself back up and walked over to the edge of the woods where he had sat an waited for her to come out. He wasn't expecting any kind of company. Only just some time to himself.
As he sat there quietly awaiting her, Jake heard few things coming from Leah's thoughts about her still somewhat liking him. It wasn't like he hadn't heard any of this before, but she had already imprinted. Why would she still be confused? Then again, he really didn't have any room to say. Jake, himself was going through a tough situation with the age his imprint was at. He wasn't able to hold her, or cuddle with her, or even kiss her like he could with someone his own age. It was very difficult. He was known, and seen to her as an uncle. More like just a part of the family.
"Its just me." He watched as she slid through the thicket of the brush. Following her to the cliff, Jake took a nice seat right next to her. 'You do know you have to keep watch again tonight.' He reminded her, glancing over to the woods. He figured if she had came this way then so did the rest of them. But he was wrong. There was no scent of any of them. Just Leah. 'What made you come this way anyway? Something has to be bothering you.' He didn't really like getting into others personal lives, but when it came to his pack he was always more than concerned. Especially her for some reason.
He had never seen Leah this down since the day she had changed. Jacob couldn't really put it together. She had seamed so happy with her new imprint, but then again, she kept her distance allot. It was understandable to put up walls for protection, but sometimes they had to be let down. 'If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. But it will haunt you.' Jake nudged her lightly and grinned. He had always loved to pick on Leah. That would never change. --Word Count: 400+-- --Music: Bad Company- Bad Company-- --Notes: Love this <3 tee hee--

Leah rolled on of her wolfy eyes, knowing that if Jake didn’t see it, he’d at least know it was done because of the stupid little mental connection they all shared when in wolf form. That could be superbly annoying but she had to admit it was also useful at times, and she had already cracked the code on how to use the connection to annoy the pack mates - something Leah had been especially good at when she was in Sam’s pack, but had mellowed out since joining Jake’s, if for no other reason than to be allowed to stay with his pack. It was easier for her in Jacob’s pack, despite the fact that she had feelings for this Alpha too. She wasn’t sure why it was so much easier, but it was. “Of course I know I’m on watch tonight. I’m not one to forget protecting your little human shaped ice stones.” Even through her wolf form there was a visible smirk. Protecting the Cullens was better than being in Sam’s pack, but she wasn’t about to admit that out loud.
Besides, it was made easier by the fact that Sam no longer wanted to end the Cullens just because of Isabella’s offspring. Just thinking of the woman stung Leah. Bella had been the reason Leah had never acted on her desire to ask Jacob out, because it had been obvious that Bella was the only person Jacob wanted… until Renesmee. So Leah figured she hadn’t stood a chance. Besides, Jacob was a bit younger than her. It didn’t make her want him any less, but she did her best to keep those thought out of her head. Jacob had enough on his plate, and as said before, Leah was doing her best to not be annoying, mostly so she didn’t have to go back to Sam’s pack. It was just hard to be in Sam’s pack. It helped slightly that Jacob’s pack was also looking after the humans of Forks and La Push as well since the packs were on good terms.
The small, grey wolf let out a sigh that sounded more like a whimper. Truth be told, she loved the playful nature between her and Jake, so when he hit her in the side it wasn’t anything to be upset or hurt about. What hurt her was that he could see through her carefully composed façade. Leah didn’t really want Jacob to be brought into this whole Seth going to college thing, but Jake was a bit perceptive, and it might be good to talk to someone about it. There was no way she was going to talk about her imprint confusion, since it involved him, though he’d probably drag it out of her eventually.
“Seth wants to go to college… out of state.” she admitted. “Which is fine, for him. But we sort of need him here. And if he leaves, he probably won’t come back… I wouldn’t.” Already she felt better about it, just getting that out, but the problem was still there. “And he’s mad at me. I used the pack voice to stop him from shifting the other day because he was trying to get out of the conversation. He said I was no better than Sam.”[/i] She snorted sarcastically at this. Part of her didn’t think it was so bad to be compared to Sam, but part of her also didn’t want to aknowledge that it hurt - the comparison.

Jake had tried his best to get Leah to smile, and laugh like she had always done when he was around. But something just wasn't letting it happen. There she went throwing up her wall again trying to hide every feeling she had. 'I was just making sure you remembered.' he spoke in a sarcastic voice. Even though she talked negative about the Cullen's, he knew she meant well. Jealousy was just something she carried with her when it came to Isabella and Renesmee. He could see it deep inside of her, even if she didn't say one word about it.
Looking over towards the horizon, he noticed a flock of Canadian Geese headed there way . That was one thing he had enjoyed about the great outdoors. Beautiful creatures, fresh air, a warm breeze, and a good friend to stand by him. The waves began to crash up against the rock's as the sun began to set. It had seamed it was a little more harsh at night than during the day. Thoughts stormed through his mind as he had remembered the first day he hat met Bella at the beach. She was so beautiful; and yet so distant from him. If it hadn't been for that Cullen boy, he was sure something would have sparked between the two of them.
Their surrounding's were very peaceful, and quiet. He listened as Leah let out a soft whimper. Of course he had heard it, since she was sitting right next to him. Moving a little closer to her, he hung his giant head next to hers. As soon as he heard her explain the mess she was in, Jake shook his head. He too had heard Seth was wanting to head off to college somewhere in California. He didn't quite understand that boy. After all, nothing was wrong with LaPush. It was his home. 'He is just too stubborn to listen, Leah. You can't tell that boy one thing and then expect it.' He let out a loud grow. 'He is obviously still wet behind the ears.'
The irritation swarmed through his blood. What if Jake had needed Seth for something? How would he even get a hold of him? Getting up, he turned to face the woods. Indeed, it was time for them both to head back to get ready for watch. His once still coat, was now all matted and askew from the wind. 'We still have some time to kill. You want to head on back to the house and just sit there for a while?' He looked back to Leah, and gave her one of his wolf-like grins. Jake knew she needed the company and he was willing to give it to her. After all, she listened to his whining and complaining about everything with him. It was the least he could do for her. --Word Count: 500+-- --Music: Lonestar- Come Crying To Me-- --Outfit: Wolf form-- --Notes: --

It was hard to share thoughts with Jacob. His thoughts always seemed to be on Isabella or Renesmee, not that she could really blame him. It seemed to her like things had worked out for Jacob, except for the whole Alpha thing. She knew he’d never wanted to be an Alpha, but he made a good one. She would back Jacob up on just about anything, just because he was good at what he did. And she thoroughly believed that Jacob did what he thought was right for the back. Of course, Sam was like that too, but it was harder to be around Sam. Though, with sharing Jacob’s thoughts about Bella and Renesmee, it was becoming increasingly difficult to be around him as well, if only because it was painful for her. She knew she should just get over it, but it was hard being close to anyway anymore, and that was probably what it would take to really get over it. Her entire being was just conflicted. Sam, Jacob, Jace, and then all that college stuff with Seth.
Despite the fact that the problem with Seth hadn’t been solved, it was good to know that Leah wasn’t the only one a bit upset about this whole situation. There weren’t very many of them in their little renegade pack. She knew Seth would be in far more danger alone than he would be with her and Jacob. Seth didn’t seem to think that there were vampires in every part of the world, but Leah knew differently. Sure, they wouldn’t be coming out in the day, but it was free reign for the blood suckers at night. And since they didn’t sleep, they had the advantage. She couldn’t make herself think about what might happen if he ran into one on his own, walking back from class some night.
Leah watched the ocean for a while. Sometimes it was easy, when she wasn’t paying much attention, to forget that Jacob could hear her thoughts when they were in wolf form. That was the part that was annoying… when she realized that he could hear everything. All of her little worries about what would happen to Seth and their pack. She was afraid she’d have to go back to Sam’s pack and she really didn’t want that. Then there was the whole thing with her trying to stay away from Jace, while at the same time trying to protect him. Two years ago she would have given anything to have imprinted, now it seemed like a curse.
She blinked a few times, Jacob’s thoughts breaking her own. Leah looked at the sky and realized that it probably was getting close to the time where they’d need to get ready. Pity, Leah would have liked to be human again for a bit before patrol, but she could always be human afterwards. Besides, she didn’t really want to shift into her naked form while in front of Jake. She’d done it before, of course. Everyone of the wolves had seen each other naked, but it didn’t mean she enjoyed doing it. Another wolfy smirk spread across Leah’s face. “Race you.” She kicked off from the ground hard and shot through the forest, not waiting for the answer. She was the fastest wolf, though she was sure Jake was probably a really close second. She thought it was probably because of how small her wolf was. More aerodynamic maybe.

"Race you!" Was the last words he had heard from Leah before she had sprinted out of there. With a cheeky grin, Jake flew off behind her kicking up dirt and grass. Loud thuds came from the forest floor as he hit ground. Of course Leah was fast, but he too was somewhat advanced also. Giving it all he could, he noticed her hind end from up ahead. His adrenaline began to pump as he hoisted himself up on a rock, pushing his weight to jump over a small creek. Indeed she was fast. 'Dammit.' He cursed with a smile. There was no beating her.
Jake found himself right on her tail finally. Up ahead from them was the house. No one had been around from what he could see and smell. It looked to be just them. As soon as they reached the porch, Jake came to a complete stop. His heart racing like wild-fire, and panting like crazy. 'I hope you enjoyed yourself.' He spoke, jumping up onto the porch. Before he knew it, Jake found himself phasing back. There he stood directly in front of Leah. His now bare back side exposed. 'No!' he bellowed, hurrying into the house.
All he could think of at the moment was his bare ass standing directly in front of Leah. He could have only imagined the way she had felt seeing all of that. Quickly making his way to his room, Jake hurried and picked up his clothes that had been sitting beside his bed. Slipping on a pair of boxers, and pants with holes the size of Texas , Jake walked back out to where Leah had been. His face was still a few shades of red. Really, he didn't expect to Phase that fast. Just thinking about phasing back must have done the trick.
Taking a seat on one of the chairs, Jake raised his feet to rest them on the side railing. All of that running really did a number on him. "Really sorry about that." Jacob grinned, looking directly at her. "I'm sure you enjoyed it anyway." Joking as usual, he got up out of his seat and made his way over to Leah. He knew it was getting that time for her to head out for watch. And honestly, he didn't want her to go. He was enjoying the company more than anything. --word count: 400+-- --Music: Lynard Skynard- Simple Man-- --Notes: Uh-oh (:---

Running was something Leah enjoyed immensely. It helped that she was really good at it. It was the one thing she could claim over the other wolves she knew - she was the fastest. That gave her an advantage, a small advantage, but she’d take what she could get. The wind going through her fur was soothing to her, as was the dirt under her paws. The dirt and mud flew behind her and she could feel Jacob catching up. But he wouldn’t beat her - he would have need a big head start for that. But he was close nonetheless. It was a relief to just let loose and run. It was the only thing going through her mind, which was also a huge relief. Her mind was never more empty than when she was running. She loved everything about it.
Eventually they were at his house and before she knew it, Jacob was shifting in front of her. They’d all seen each other, sure, but Leah tried to be respectful about it… usually. If Leah had been in human form she would have blushed. As it was, she immediately looked away from Jake and focused on the ground. She concentrated on getting her thoughts together as she waited for Jake to hurry inside. As soon as he disappeared from the front porch, she looked around.
Soon Jake was back on the porch, dressed now and apologizing. But the second thing he said, that she had probably enjoyed it, had her anger going again, even if he was joking. As if she wanted to feel that way about him. Without giving it another thought she shifted, temporarily forgetting that she was naked. “I’ll have you know that I do not enjoy that. It’s sort of embarrassing actually.” Speaking of embarrassing, Leah now realized that she was standing in front of Jake wearing nothing but her skin. Not that they hadn’t seen it before.
She hadn’t thought about this part when she shifted so suddenly. She would have just gone home, but that was a bit out of the way and with what Jake had said, however jokingly, it meant that he probably knew about how she felt about him. Plus, she’d just have to shift back soon anyway. At least her long dark hair hung over her shoulders and covered part of her. She looked around and blushed, then headed, stomping all the way, into Jake’s house. “Can I get a shirt, or at least a towel so I’m not completely exposed here?”

Looking over his grubby fingers, Jake began to pick the dirt out from the sides. If he had nails, he was sure to be picking their also. With a light chuckle, he looked up to the now nagging Leah. His jaw merely dropped off of his face as he noticed a bare Leah standing before him, complaining about him being nude in front of her. Of course he had seen her like this a few times before, but only a glimpse. Now he had seen everything for more than a few moments.
Taking a big swallow, he began to smile. His eyes still as wide as before. "Look who's talking now Miss. 'I don't enjoy it'." A chuckle escaped his lips followed by a roaring laughter. He knew it had to be embarrassing, but look at how he had felt. Watching as she hurried into the house, Jake slowly got up off of the front porch rocking chair. He heard her bickering from inside of the house, yelling for a towel or at least one of his shirts. Opening the front door, Jake slipped inside to a bare Leah standing in the hallway.
Sliding by Leah, Jake walked into his room and started digging through his top drawer. Of course it just had to be laundry day. Looking across his bedroom over by the bed frame, Jake noticed one of his KISS band tees just laying there. He had only wore it once, so he figured she wouldn't have minded. "Here, but this on." Headed back over to look through his drawers yet again, he pulled out a fresh clean pair of his boxers. It was the best he could do for now.
Making his way out of the bedroom, he closed the door behind him, allowing her to get dressed in peace. Making his way over to the sofa, Jake took a seat, flipping on the old wooden box t.v. Spending money for a new one had seamed overrated for both Jake and Billy. After all, they were the only men in the house. Until Rachel had came home. Now things were certainly about to change with the house. Ever since she had moved, it seamed to change her.
Finally finding a station he liked, Jake kicked back his feet. The old grandfather clock read 7:00. Letting out a loud sigh, he could tell he was bound to be lonely again tonight also. It just seamed to never end. Leah had to go on watch, Nessie was gone with the family, and Seth; Well, he never comes around anymore. --word count: 400+-- --Outfit: Jeans.-- --Notes; --

Leah wasn’t particularly happy to be showing Jacob her assets, but she couldn’t see a way around it. It was just a part of pack life. But it didn’t mean she liked seeing Jake or that it didn’t make her feel awkward. It had been the same with Sam before this pack had started. Leah always looked away and usually blushed. It was more awkward with Sam since he was with Leah’s cousin. With Jake, it was more of a I really shouldn’t be looking at my alpha that way especially since I have an imprint sort of feeling. Either way, it wasn’t a feeling she particularly liked. And she was glad that she was in human form at the moment, even if she was completely naked, because her thoughts were more than she wanted Jacob Black to hear. Thoughts about what she’d do if neither of them had imprints, what she would have done if Bella and Renesmee had never come into their life.
She was glad that Jacob didn’t put up much of a fight about getting her something to wear, and even more glad that he left her alone to change. KISS wasn’t particularly her favorite band, but she’d be shifting anyway and it covered up her boobs. It was a bit awkward to be wearing Jake’s boxers. For a moment she wondered if this is what she’d be wearing every morning if her and Jake had been together. Stop it, Leah. She dressed quickly and felt her hair. It was a bit of a mess from running in wolf form, but no big deal. Leah’s hair looked good no matter what, really. Jacob’s clothes were a bit too big for her, seeing as she wasn’t as muscular and definitely not as tall, but they were good for now. Better than spending time in front of him naked.
The female werewolf walked downstairs, dressed in Jacob’s tee shirt and boxers and went to the living room. “Television? How original.” She smirked and walked over to the couch, plopping down on the small sofa next to Jake. "So, what are we watching?" She leaned back against the back of the sofa and closed her eyes for a few moments, taking in the sounds of the television. This was wrong. She shouldn’t be this close to Jacob. He had Renesmee that he needed to be faithful to and she was supposed to be with Jace. That’s what the imprint rules meant. And here they were, Leah wearing Jacob’s clothes looking like she just woke up and Jake wearing nothing but a pair of pants. At least his clothing choice wasn’t really out of the ordinary.
“So, you wanna patrol with me tonight, or you gonna chill with Billy or the half bloodsucker?” Even though she was helping to protect the Cullens, she still hadn’t been able to say a single one of their names out loud.

Nothing good had come on the television. It was advertisement after advertisement. Tossing the remote to the side, he glanced over to the stairs, wondering what had taken her so long. All he did was hand her a shirt and pair of boxers. But then again, she was a girl. Running his fingers through his short black hair, he let out a soft sigh. His stomach hungered for food, but he was too lazy to get up. It was just the way Jake was.
Looking back to the steps, he noticed a set of feet coming his way. As soon as she got under the curve at the top of the steps, he noticed Leah wearing nothing but his clothes. Jacob's heart sank to the back of his chest. Honestly, she looked beautiful. Especially in his clothes. Thoughts swarmed his mind as he looked her up and over plenty of times. What was he doing? He had already imprinted on Renesmee. But for some reason, he couldn't remove his eyes from her. Not even once.
Jake followed her as she came and sat down on the couch next to him. He could feel his palms begin to slightly break a sweat. 'Stop it, Jake!' He told himself, reaching for the remote. He needed to just stop thinking all together. But he couldn't. Now he had more than just two things on his mind. "You feel better?" He asked, flipping through the channels. There were times he would catch himself glancing back over at her. Even her messy hair was starting to look good. "I have no clue what I am watching right now."
Tugging on his pants to loosen them a bit, Jake made a noticeable swallow. He was enjoying his time with Leah, oddly. Not saying he didn't love Renesmee, but still. Shaking his head and smiling, Jake sat the remote back down. "Well, I guess I can patrol with you tonight. Kind of give you some company since I know how lonely you get." Jacob tried his best to crack jokes and make it a little more easier on him; But he was male. And Leah was looking very pretty.
Getting up from the sofa, he headed into the kitchen. Maybe looking through the fridge would calm himself. Reaching deep inside, he pulled out a slab of summer sausage. "You hungry by any cahnce?" Jake spoke raising it above the door. --Word Count: 400+-- --Music: Simple Man- Lynyrd Synyrd-- --Outfit: Jeans-- --Notes: --

The female smiled at Jake’s question. Did she feel better? Did he want the truth? She could just picture herself saying Yeah, I feel loads better now that we’re sitting all cozy on a couch, close enough to just reach over and hold your hand, oh, not to mention I’m wearing your clothes… Yeah, there was no way she was saying that to him. She doubted he wanted to hear it from her, since he had an imprint and seemed in total bliss about that. She did notice the slight change in his focus, how he seemed to look more at her than at the television, but she chalked it up to probably wishing he hadn’t had to see her in his clothes. Maybe he was just wishing that the hybrid was old enough to wear his clothes. Maybe he thought her hair looked like something out of a horror movie.
“I feel less naked,” was the answer she gave him, knowing that that didn’t completely answer his question. She couldn’t tell him that she felt better because she was so close to him and they weren’t at each others throats. She smiled, hoping that he wouldn’t ask anymore questions… at least not at that moment. It was hard to breathe next to him so she tried to focus on the sounds and smells around them. Billy’s and Rachel’s was here. As was Paul’s. Now that was a scent she hadn’t had to smell in a while and she had to admit, she didn’t care one bit that she hadn’t had the pleasure of smelling Paul. Paul was annoying. Initially, her goal in Jacob’s pack was to not be as annoying as Paul. She had the whole not dating the alpha’s sister going for her, so it wasn’t that difficult.
She let out a breath that she hadn’t realized she’d been holding as Jacob got up and walked to the kitchen. Leah sunk further into the couch and closed her eyes. What the hell? This was so weird. Since Sam left her, she had had feelings for Jacob, but she’d never felt this awkward around him - like she cared what he thought about her. Like she needed to be close to him. She’d never wanted to be near him so much before. Maybe she was going crazy.
Jake called from the kitchen about food and with an almost silent sigh, Leah got up and stood behind Jake, leaning her back against the counter. “We’re wolves, aren’t we always hungry?” She asked with a laugh. She ran her fingers through her hair and tried to look anywhere but at Jacob. She wasn’t successful. It was just too tempting to look at him. She opened her mouth to say something but quickly shut it, reconsidering. She looked awkwardly away, out a window. “And I’m not that lonely, you know. Though, it’ll be nice to have someone on patrol. Maybe we can get Seth to cover the morning shift.” She smirked, trying to get things back to normal between her and Jake. Again, she was unsuccessful. She just wanted to reach out to him. She resisted the urge to do so. She thought again and opened her mouth. “Hey, Jake… do… ya know, like having an imprint, now that you’ve got one?” Stupid question - she was almost sure she knew the answer to it.

Setting the summer sausage on the counter without looking, Jake let out a huge relieving sigh. Hopefully she didn't realize he too was beginning to get a little nervous around her. But he just didn't understand why. Not removing his head from the fridge, he noticed her scent coming his way. Instantly he chocked up and began to scrimmage through the fridge again for another excuse. Grabbing the milk, he pulled that out and sat it on the counter also. Still not inching.
As soon as he heard her voice come from behind him, Jake jumped up, nailing his head on the fridge. What an ass he made himself out to be. "Yeah, we can have Seth do that." Turning to look at her, he watched as she leaned up against the counter. His heart was beating so fast that he could feel it against his chest. He was surprised no one could even see it. Before he knew it, she began asking him about his imprint on Renesmee. Leaning up against the fridge, he shrugged. "It's different, but of course I love it. Even though she is still only eight years old." Now, Jacob Black was certainly confused.
Cutting up some of the sausage, he handed her a piece. His hands trembling as he reached out to her. Odd enough for Jacob, all he wanted to do was move closer towards Leah. There was something about her pulling him in. Was it the tee? Possibly the boxers? He didn't know. All he knew was she was really looking good to him. Preoccupying himself with the cupboards, he reached for a glass and poured them both a nice cold glass of milk.
"How is your imprint going for you?" He asked, trying to avoid things. "I mean, do you ever feel like you were meant to be with someone else and it was all just a mistake?" Oops. Just like his sister, he always speaks before he thinks. Inching a little closer to her, he leaned up against the same counter as her. His body beginning to break out in a slight sweat. All he had wanted to do was just touch her. But he held his composure; kind of. Placing his hand on the counter-top, he slowly began to inch his towards Leah. 'Stop yourself Jacob!" He yelled inside. --Word count- 400+-- --Music: Every once in a while- BlackHawk -- --Outfit: Jeans-- --Notes: --

Leah smiled and held in a laugh when Jake hit his head. It was cute. Eff, Leah. That shouldn’t be cute to you. It just shouldn’t. But it was. She looked at the floor as he said that they could have Seth do the morning shift. At least Leah would be able to get some sleep. Almost immediately she thought about where she’d like to sleep. No. No. NO! Why was what was supposed to be wrong the thing that felt to Leah like it should be right. Sure, she did care about Jace. She even loved him, though she knew very little about the guy. Imprinting was like that. You just immediately loved the person. You were drawn to the person. But it felt like she was drawn to Jake too… and Sam for that matter. Maybe she was just sadistic and liked to torture herself.
Still looking down at the floor, Leah took the piece of sausage that was handed to her and took a bite. It was good to have something in her stomach. She was glad that she had the fast metabolism of the werewolf to make sure that she kept her figure. It wasn’t like she was ever big into working out, but she was certainly eating a lot more now that she had shifted. Just like all of the werewolves.
Her mood dropped when Jacob said he loved having an imprint and she was glad that he couldn’t read her thoughts, though her mood probably showed for the brief moment that her face showed that she was a bit disappointed. She quickly composed her face again and took another bite of the sausage. After all, she had figured that Jacob would have liked imprinting, even if he shad said before he had imprinted that he didn’t want his life taken from him like that. All of the other wolves seemed to love their imprints. And Leah did love hers, she was also just careful, and loved other people. One of which was currently standing next to her. She edged her way slightly closer to him and took one of the glasses, took a drink and sat it on the counter next to her.
When she answered Jake’s question, her words came out in a choked whisper. “Yes, I think that sometimes.” She risked a glance at him. Bad idea. They were close, a bit closer than she initially thought. Her heart beat picked up and she had to focus on resisting the urge to lean in and kiss him, just to see what it would fee like. She blinked a few times in another unsuccessful attempt to clear her mind. But she was able to look away now, at least. She focused on the wall across from them. “Jace is great. I like him a lot. And two years ago, I would have given anything to have an imprint. But it just kind of feels… like another responsibility. Like I have to be what he wants me to be. I don’t get to be what I want anymore.” She looked up again. A bit mistake, because no she didn’t feel like she could look away.

He listened to everything she had to say about her new imprint. It was nice that she had finally found someone that she loved, besides he and Sam. Pulling his hand back to his side, Jake moved a little further away. He didn't want to risk the possibility of anything happening, and then having to carry it around on his mind when he was around Nessie. He didn't know how she would of reacted to it if he had to tell her. But, all Nessie did was see him as a family member; Heartbreaking.
Grabbing his glass, he chugged the rest of his milk and slammed it back down onto the counter. He was finished, and ready to head out on patrol. They had only needed to be there not even a few hours. After all, Seth was going to take over weather he had liked it or not. "Well, you ready to head on out then?" He glanced back to her. Why was it he couldn't stop staring? He must have looked foolish to her. The last girl he had ever made eyes towards, was Nessie. Now Jake knew he was very much confused. But why? He had imprinted! Shouldn't that of been the last of his looking. And having two girls on his mind wasn't a good thing if he was about to phase.
Making his way towards the front door, Jake looked pack, motioning for her to come along. "Just make sure you take of the clothes before you phase." He chuckled. "Wouldn't want those to rip." Stepping out onto the front porch, Jake removed his clothes and hung them over the chair. It wasn't that he felt all that weird around her, it was the feelings he was beginning to receive. She was his beta! And plus, it just wouldn't seem right kissing on her and have her being a part of his pack! Of all packs, she was in his. But he could see why. The hurt she had endured with Sam after what had happened. Her heart was shattered, and all she had wanted was to be loved and cared for.
Making a giant leap, Jake formed in mid-air. His Grey coat now exposed to the wonderful flow of the wind. He tried his best not to think as much around her. Sometimes he just wished he could block it completely from his mind so she couldn't hear him at all. But that was impossible. 'Come on Leah!' he yelled. 'You don't need to fold them!'Jake joked, making a seat. --Word count: 500+-- --Music: Simple Man- Lynyrd Skynyrd- --Outfit: wolf-form-- --Notes: o.o Interesting.--
