Heidi was full of confusion, not sure what happened to her. She never had this feeling, never in her life. Then he drew her back at him, the shock through her bones. She looked into a pair of golden eyes friendlier then they were before. He started mumbling, like he was talking to himself. Then he said she was mated before and she shook her head.
She wished she was. '' arranged marriage. '' she said softly and looked at him. Then he mumbled again about not able to be mated twice and her and him. She never thought about it. then she just pulled him closer and kissed him. She didn't know why, something pulled her to him, like someone else was pulling strings.
Of course men were pulled to her, thats her power but the other way around was something which she wasn't familiar with. She broke the kiss and looked at him. '' I'm so sorry!'' she said but didn't know what to do. This was not the moment and certainly not the right clothes!

Lan looked down at her when she said ti was an arranged marriage and then it clicked but before he could say anything else that she had his mind filled with purely her, he couldn't get enough. Her gift he could fel teasing at his mind but it didn't touch truly, his mind was wiped and filled with the electrifying emotions of passion that came with her touch, his lips moved against hers in tandum and then when she pulled away he frowned and whispered in a husky tone "No no ... that was perfect, you ... I knew something was different about you .. your gift is barely affecting me it's just purely you..."

he looked at him and frowned. The feeling was not the same she felt with her husband, and never the same with the guys she had to date to mate with. When they gave up she and her husband faked it and had babies so she wouldn't die. And now he died for her and she found her real mate.
He started mumbling about not her power attracting him but her. she didn't understand it all and just looked at him, her violet eyes calculating everything. '' I just don't get it, I mean, i never had this in my life its confusing. '' she said quietly and tried to understand it all, but she couldn't.

Lan looked at her as he worked everything out in his mind, sods law said he would be compatible with one of those he used to hate with a passion, well they did say love and hate are two sides to the same coin. He touched her cheek for a moment, looking at her carefully, considering every angle. Now he had no choice but to give up hs solitude. To him society still seemed like a cess pool but if she was there it might not be so bad at all ... it had been so long since he had been to a city or town or near other vampires his social graces were raw and rusty. He couldn't help wondering what was going on in her mind but then what did it matter? it would be similar to the maelstrum of emotion in his mind. Lan loathed change, it meant he had to adapt.
Lan listened to her voice for a few moments and realised just how well they fit in that second, she was the softer of the two of them but they were both lost and running, both now very confused and Lan had already admitted to himself that he was hers. He smiled sadly and softly said
"Well I suppose sods law dictated we would be the match, Both on the run and we are both so very different but .. I think this should explain it a little better." then he drew her in again, his hand on her back and his other arm around her waist as he kissed her, the shock of their closeness coursing through him in waves, his mind hazed and all that resided there was her

people who get kissed just like that could call it an assault. They are slapping you, hitting you, or hitting on you. Either way Heidi was the one trying not to hit on anyone and yet she found her mate. Just because of a walk. And when he tried to explain things by another kiss, which for a rough looking guy like him was not rough at all. Her eyes looked into his, her lips locked into his own.
Electricity in a good way ran through her body, the places where he held her were burning on her skin but didn't hurt. Heidi got back to her senses and broke the kiss. '' its getting clear to me. '' she said trying to catch her breathe.

Lan looked at her when she broke the kiss and spoke and he smiled an odd, half smile. His mind was reeling after that burning electic desire had shot through him. He looked straight into her eyes, odd eye color indeed but that just made it even better, Lan was not one to be interested in someone who was with the grain, if there was a normal vampire.
He looked up for a moment then replied in a soft gentle tone
"Perhaps we should hunt and then go and visit these Cullens, if nothing else and the rumours are true they have a lot of gifted amongst them so it would be a good place to hide out, and they have many friends meaning I can keep you safe." then he looked at her again and continued "I shall tear down the pure ones some day and slay their leaders, make them rue the day they tried to hurt you." then he kissed her forehead gently as he awaited her reply.

She had her hands on his chest resting there as he spoke. She looked up at him, more feelings then love through her veins. She smiled when he offered to visit the Cullens. '' They're not home, I tried. '' she sighed and looked at him, he wanted to slayer the pure ones. She smiled softly to his words, she wished she could let him do it.
If he failed they could have her, she wouldn't care to live any longer then. Her violet eyes looking into his as she placed one hand on his cheek. They needed a place to stay where they could be safe. And she probably knew where. She smiled softly. '' There is an old mansion, close to the Cullens, its empty and no one lives there , no one knows its there either. we could go there? '' she offered.

Lan frowned and cursed under his breath before he nodded listening to her as she told him they were not there. He shook his head and then looked at her when she mentioned she knew a place and nodded "Show me." he said softly, taking her hand. He wasn't going to let go of her now, not when he felt the need to protect her and to be one with her ...
Lan and Heidi ran to the mansion she mentioned at a leisurely pace, purely so Lan could assess the surroundings. They would be sat blind in this 'mansion' and she he wanted to ensure he knew the lay of the land in case the pure ones found them and then he sighed and whispered
"Their seer, is there any way to get a message to her that we need their help? would she see it if we decided where we wanted to meet her and wrote it down?" he asked calmly.

Heidi walked with him to the mansion, their hands together, he was sure of not letting her go. Heidi smiled of that thought, it made her safe. Heidi looked at him, as she lead him to the mansion next to the cullens, only a few miles away. Heidi looked at him. '' well this is it, no one ever found it , not since Chelsea dumped it. There is furniture and i took a little care of it. '' she said softly.
She took his hand and walked with him through all the rooms and ended in hers. She sighed and smiled. '' and last, my room. '' she said. She looked at him and smiled. '' I think you can see her soon, they won't be gone for long i guess. ''she shrugged.

Lan looked at her when she spoke as they first entered the house and he nodded, concern furrowing his brow again before the tingling currents running up his arm reminded him that she was what mattered now, the whole mate thing would of gotten really old if he wasn't infatuated with her. He paused as he inspected the building, there were some structural faults born from a cracked foundation he guessed and so they could be comfortable he would have to fix that. His mind was racing but it was no where near full capacity, he still had so much space to think without the subconcious dominating his mind he was free to think about maybe 40 or 50 things at once.
He smiled as she gave him the tour and once they were in her room he spoke, his words carrying the weight of much thought as he said softly
"She can wait, you are what matters. As long as I can protect you I don't care. That and as long as the pure ones pay for what they did to your life." then he slid his hand from hers and slipped his arm around her waist, drawing her in he brushed the hair away from her face carefully and smiled softly before kissing her cheek and softly saying
"Now what happens is your choice."

Heidi thought about flowering the house up a little. Her own room was rather the most beautiful one. it was light brown and it wasn't even the smallest room either. She smiled as the brown and white walls surrounded them with huge bed and a walk in closet with a few mirrors and a small closet with men clothing.
It wasn't even hers, the clothing. They were from her past boyfriends. Made her feel guilty at the moment. Heidi took his hand and walked with him , she looked at him and chuckled lightly. she kissed his cheek and brought him to the kitchen.

While Heidi stood with her guilt Lan stood rigid as a board, his arm encircling her wait still but his ears were tracing a rustling outside until it became apparent it was just his usual type of prey, not a mountain lion but a rather large bear. He looked at her and noticed her expression and he gave her a gentle squeeze.
When she walked into the kitchen with him he smiled and chuckled softly before the top of her head. If like a new born he hadn't of known what all the signs said they probably wouldn't both be stood here now but he had known what the signs meant, this made him frown slightly with concern, what if he was wrong and they weren't mates it was just something else?
Right then he didn't care, he looked at her and softly whispered
"Tell me what you are thinking about Heidi..." his voice had an under current of concern but it was still crisp and sharp.

As a vampire heidi missed a lot of her human times. Most thing she missed was dreaming. Being all alone, not caring what people think of you because its your dream. Her hands were placed on the work top her eyes staring out of the window. As his voice woke her up she looked at him.
She smiled softly and looked back out of the window, arms crossed. '' I miss it, dreaming, children.'' she said with a tone like it was nothing to worry about. She didn't worry much about anything, but just the thought again of her kids running and screaming again.

Lan sighed and looked at her when she said she missed it and she looked like she meant it he curled his arms around her waist in an instant response and gently kissed her neck before whispering
"don't think on the past, it's not good for us immortals." then he kissed her softly. He sighed as he pulled away and then shook his head, his own past flaring through his mind and he shook his head.
His mind reeled back from his past, sealing it off behind the locker walls and he pulled away from her and turned, putting his hands on the counter
"What do we do now?" he muttered

Heidi sighed as he wrapped his arms around her. Her hands still where they were before. She looked at Lan and smiled. He was all she needed, someone to feel comfortable around. She smiled softly as he told her not to think of the past. '' wish i could stop thinking'' she chuckled and looked at him as he kissed her and pulled back.
He didn't seem alright. She didn't do anything though. '' I don't know, are you alright?'' she said and frowned a little walking closer to him. For him it must be as weird as it is for her, knowing someone for a little while and being in love within a touch.
